Chapter 7

AALIYAH

I had my eyes closed the moment I saw him coming, wishing he would go away without having to hurt me.

But that happened so fast and I couldn’t tell whether or not I was getting killed.

I tried standing up to my feet, but the weight of the chains held me down completely.

And the next thing I knew, I felt the whip directly on my back.

I screamed the minute I felt it touch my skin.

I felt my wolf growl inside as I felt the sudden urge to fight back.

Swallowing down the nut that was formed down my throat, I felt beads of sweat forming on my forehead as I cried.

And then the long walk finally came to an end as they had campfires built around us.

“We lay here tonight to rest” the Man I suspected was the leader spoke as he had his bag thrown to the floor laying his head to rest.

I went to the ground, feeling so tired and wanting to rest, as I had my eyes closed wishing I was having a really bad nightmare.

But it turns out it wasn't just a nightmare, but was happening.
