Chapter fifteen.

Cassandra could feel tears start to well up in her eyes, and she fought hard to hold them back. Surely, there was no truth to what that woman was saying. Or was there?

Jason was a gorgeous, world-renowned rock star, so how could he have eyes for just her?

After all, Cassandra was just a plain old girl from a small town. What did he see in her? Was he just using her until he got to the next city and then would pick another one out of the crowd or from one of the meet and greets?

Cassandra paced back and forth across the dressing room, wringing her hands with nervous energy, struggling to let herself believe the things that she had just heard.

Then she started thinking back to their encounter at the beach the evening before and how Jason had pulled away when things were starting to heat up. He had the opportunity yesterday to make love to her; she was certainly willing, but he stopped it.
