Chapter twenty two.

Cassandra hailed a cab and headed to the airport. She was hoping she would be lucky enough to catch an immediate flight out and not have to wait until morning.

She couldn't stand the thought of Eloise all alone in that cold hospital waiting room with no one there to support her.

When Cassandra arrived at the airport, she was happy to find there was a flight heading back home within the next forty-five minutes. If all went as planned, Cassandra should arrive at the hospital in just a couple of hours.

She was tempted to call Nicholas herself to tell him what was going on but she knew Eloise would have her head and she wanted to respect her friend's wishes.
