"You look gorgeous in your dress, Yvette." Rhea plastered a fake smile.

"Thank you, mom. Who else can I inherit from?" Yvette was having fun with her Mama Rhea. "Did you change your perfume?" she commented.

"Doesn't it smell good?" said Rhea.

"Mama, I bet it smells better than before. The smell of your stuff is stronger now," Yvette replied.

"It made me think that it's been too long since I've changed my perfume. I've become too comfortable with what I use. Sometimes because we're so complacent, we miss out on other things." Rhea took a goblet with champagne from the waiter. "Thank you for this," she said while drinking.

"A-Are you okay, mom?" Yvette asked with a frown.

"Y-YES, I'M FINE. Wait, where is your boyfriend?" Rhea looked around. She pretended to be looking for Jackson but the truth is, she was looking for Jacob.

"He's still not here, mom," Yvette replied.
