ONM: Chapter 3

  Vivien

I woke up with a pounding headache and a sore body. Damn, we were so drunk and wasted last night! Penelope got what she wanted.

I looked around, and my eyes widened when I saw my dress on the chair beside the bed. I sat up, wincing as my head throbbed. Without thinking, I checked my body under the white comforter. My eyes widened even more when I realized I had nothing on!

I gasped as I slowly remembered what happened last night.

The man I danced with last night broke my defenses while I was drunk!

Vivien, what foolishness possessed you? Shit! I won't get drunk anymore! I won't drink! I was protecting my virginity!

nnnI winced again as I felt the pain between my thighs. What had that man done to cause this much pain?

Despite the excruciating pain, I forced myself to get up. I grabbed my dress and panties from the chair and put them on. I also snatched my purse from the side table. I awkwardly walked out of the room.

Where was the man who took my virginity? Why were you even looking for the man who deflowered you, Vivien? There was nothing you could do; he had already taken what you were protecting.

As I left the room, I carefully closed the door. I looked around, trying to get my bearings. Where was I? I thought it was a hallway that would greet me, but it wasn't. There was a door on the side, and the living room lay before me.

I cautiously walked toward the main door. I wanted to leave this place, and I needed to call Penelope! Where could that woman be? She didn't even check on me! It seemed like she had a great time! She forgot that she was with her best friend last night!

“Where are you going?” I was startled and stopped in my tracks, turning to the source of the voice. My eyes widened when I saw the man who broke my shell!

He was leaning against the wall, looking at me seriously. I gulped when I noticed he was only wearing sweatpants and no shirt.

Seriously, Vivien?! I quickly averted my gaze and met his eyes, giving him a stern look as I remembered what happened last night.

“Who are you?! What did you do to me?! And where did you take me?! Where am I?! You took advantage of my drunkenness, you fvcker!” I asked one after another angrily. He smirked at me. I got more annoyed.

“Don't you remember what happened last night? We're still here at the bar in a VIP room. I didn't take advantage of your drunkenness; we both enjoyed what happened last night,” he replied to my questions. I paused for a second; he had a point there. I had also let myself go.

Damn, Vivien. What my best friend said came true.

“Let's talk, but first, eat. I've prepared breakfast.” He moved away from the wall and pointed to where he had prepared breakfast.

Wait a minute, why is he still here? Shouldn't he have left me alone?

“What? Are you just going to stand there and wait for the food?" I looked at him again.

Fine. I'll give in to his request. Then we'll talk, afterwards, I'm curious about what he wants to talk about.

I slowly made my way to the table where he had prepared the food, and just as I sat down, my phone rang. I immediately took it from my purse.

“Hello, girl? Where are you? Have you made it home?” Penelope's question greeted me. I raised an eyebrow.

“No! Why did you leave me last night?! Why did you disappear from my side?! Where are you? Jeez, Penelope!" I replied with irritation, but she just laughed at my reaction, which annoyed me even more.

“Calm down, your shells might be stressing you out! You only started cracking them last night.” My eyes widened, and I blushed. How did she know?! Don't tell me she set me up?!

“You b*tch! How did you know?! Don't tell me..." I closed my eyes tightly. Jeez! Penelope, I'm so going to strangle you!

“Calm down, girl! I know what you're thinking. No, there was no setup, okay? Yes, I suggested you find a guy and break out of your shell, but I didn't force you because I know you didn't want to. Then, I just left the dance floor for a moment last night to get some drinks, and when I came back, you were making out! That's how I knew you break. your shell already! Congratulations for that! Welcome to the club! Haha." Damn, what I did last night was embarrassing. I instinctively held my head as a headache began to throb.

“Where are you?” I asked to change the topic.

“I'm with the guy I met last night, having breakfast. After we finish eating, I'll be heading home. How about you?”

“Same,” I replied briefly, and I could hear him chuckle.

“Girl, you hit the jackpot! The guy who got to you first is so handsome! You're not losing out.” This girl, argh!

“Finish your meal, then go home, and text me later, okay? Bye!” I hung up, annoyed with her teasing.

I turned to the guy sitting in front of me. He was looking at me seriously.

“Are you done?” he asked, and I just nodded. “Let's eat.” I looked at the food on the table: bacon, eggs, spam, and fried rice. Not bad; I was hungry because Penelope and I didn't eat properly last night.

I was stunned when the guy in front of me filled my plate with fried rice, bacon, and spam. He was deadly serious about it. After serving both our plates, he turned to me.

“Eat.” I followed him quietly. We ate in silence. What happened last night was a mistake. It was not in my plan to give my "shell" to a stranger.

Gosh, I still couldn't believe it. We just went to a bar and had some    drinks with Penelope, and my shell had already cracked! Next time, I'll have to cover that girl's mouth to prevent what she says or plans!

We finished our meal in silence, and no one spoke to us. I looked at the guy in front of me. Penelope was right; he was handsome and had a strong presence. At least I'm happy that someone as good-looking as him broke my shell.

But looking like this, it's impossible that he doesn't have a girlfriend! Geez, what have I gotten myself into? Nah, he got into me! Just kidding!

But maybe he doesn't have a girlfriend? He was at the bar alone. He didn't have anyone else with him. I should ask for a moment.

“Hey, I have a question,” I said, and he turned to me.

  “What is it?”

“Do you have a girlfriend?” I asked seriously. He cleared his throat and adjusted his posture.

“I'm single. I wouldn't flirt with you or have sex if I had a girlfriend, so don't worry, I'm not that kind of guy. And I'm sorry I took your virginity. Don't worry; I'm not like other men who run after one great night. So, as a man, it's my obligation for what happened between us last night,” he said. I was taken aback by what he said. Was he serious? He didn't have any obligation because it was also my fault that I lost my virginity. I gave in to alcohol and desire.

“Hey, you don't have any obligation to me. Last night was a mistake, and it's my fault for losing my virginity. We were both drunk. And it's not like you're implying that you're going to marry me. Geez, we're not in the old times where if you touched or kissed a woman, you had to marry her. Don't worry about me.”

Gosh, I didn't want to be tied down so soon. I just graduated, and I have dreams. Besides, I don't know this guy well. Yes, he's handsome and has a good body, but maybe he has a bad personality. Nah.

He laughed softly at my words, and I found him even more  handsome.

“Don't get me wrong. I want to get to know you. Give me a chance, okay? I can't ignore what happened between us last night, especially since I took your virginity. My grandmother didn't raise me to run from responsibility. Whether you like it or not, I'm part of your life now.”

Oh gosh, in a way, what he said sounds nice. Almost everyone likes the idea of responsibility, especially in a one-night stand situation. But for me? No, I still have dreams, and I have many things I want to pursue in my modeling career

“I get your point, mister, but I have no plans for that. I'm okay. If you're worried about my virginity and feel guilty, it's okay. Maybe my future husband will understand someday why I'm no longer a virgin. And if he truly loves me, he'll accept it.” I swallowed hard as he glared at me, his eyebrows furrowing. What's he so angry about? I'm right, aren't I?

“Like what I said, whether you like it or not, there's nothing you can do. I've already decided. And one more thing, From the moment our lips met and our bodies became one, that means you already mine and marked you. And do you think it's easy to find a man who will accept you these days? Decent men are rare, and they can understand you. From now on, I'm your boyfriend. I promise to be a good boyfriend to you,” he said seriously and firmly.

What the?! Boyfriend right away? I raised an eyebrow, no matter how I explained to him, he had his reasons! He wants to be my boyfriend? To be responsible for me? Fine! It looks like I won't be able to go home because this guy won't let me. I'll let him have what he wants until he gets tired, anyway, he wanted this.

“Fine, mister, if that's what you want. Can I go home now? Will you take me? Start with your responsibilities now.” I stood up.

“It's Alexander Blake, Baby, not mister. Wait for me, I'll just tidy up this place and change, then I'll take you home.”
