CHAPTER 4

Upon entering her home she noticed everyone sitting in the hall area.

Her grandpa, Nina, her stepmother, Lucas and his parents.

Anna was shocked to see them all and they were all looking at her.

"Where the hell have you been Anni. We have been looking for you the whole night." Nina asked her with worries on her face.

"I am sorry. I made you all worried, but I......."

As Anna was speaking Lucas's mother spoke in between.

"What a shameless girl you are. Stayed with an other man for the whole night and now you are here and also you dare to speak in front of me."

"You are getting me wrong Mrs Whitlock."Anna tried to explain her but all in vain as Mrs Whitlock holded her hairs putting them in side and unveiled them. Everyone's eyes grew wide in shock with what they saw.

There were bite marks on her neck. And also there were some marks on her hand which indicated that someone holded her hands very tightly.

As everyone saw this, Anna's stepmother came forward and slapped her hard on her face.

"Did'nt you remembered that you were engaged to Lucas?" She asked.

Listening and seeing all this Lucas got up and goes to other room. Nina followed him from behind.

Mark was outside tha mansion. Looking at the house he understood that Anna was from a reputated family and whatever happened last night was a mistake.

He took out his phone and dialled a number.

"The number you are trying to reach is currently swtiched off."

The only thing he could hear was this statement.

He got back in his car and leaned back closing his eyes.

The number he was trying to call was Susan's number. Last night when Susan left he was devastated. He was feeling betrayed. He had loved her with all his heart but what he got was nothing. He got just friendzoned.

"Even if you come back today I will forget everything and I will accept you with my whole heart and will always love you as I have loved you."Mark thought to himself.

Just then his phone rang and without missing a chance he recieved it.

"Hello...."

"Why the hell you called me Joseph. I am not in my right senses to talk to you."

"But I just wanted to ask about what the hell happened between you and Susan last night.?"

"Nothing. She just left me like she always did." Mark exclaimed.

And without listening any further he disconnected the call. He sat in the driver's seat and drove from there speeding up in fury. He did'nt bother to even look back.

Anna was being questioned by everyone in the mansion.

"Who was it with whom you have been betraying my son?" Mrs Whitlock was seen in anger.

"Granpa please try to understand. It was all a misunderstanding."

Anna's grandpa sat down there listening to everything but not speaking anything.

"Nina asked me to stay at the hotel and she told me to she will be staying with me there too. But I ......"

"Do not even dare to put my daughter in between of this your drama." Her stepmother interfared.

"I am not putting her in between but I did what she said to because......"

"Enough of this. Get out of this place." Stepmother said.

With the tears in her eyes she looked at grandpa who was sitting there and seeing all this he chose to ignore it.

Anna was feeling devastated. She loved everyone in this house but today shw was there standing alone for herself.

When Lucas went inside the room, Nina went after him.

"What are you thinking?"Nina questioned.

"Anna never let me touched her. But today she was with another man the whole night. Did she ever loved me?"

"What do you think she would have done that?"

"I do not like cheepy talks. Say it clear whatever you want to say."

"Yesterday I took her to the party where I drugged her juice so that she would go to sleep with Mr Morgan. Before signing the contract papers, Mr Morgan asked me a night with Anna in return of the favour of contract. And It would have been benefited for both of us as she will go away from our lives and we would happily. And now we should tell her that we are in love."

"You deugged her...... Are you insane....."

"Do not think too much. You don't lover her so why to care about her. We have been in love for 3 years."

"But......"

" Oh I forgot to tell you that I made her sign the property transfer agreement papers in her drunken state and now this mansion, the bussiness and everything that once belonged to her is mine."

"You did what....?"A fierce voice came from Nina's back.

It was Anna. She was listening this whole time.

"You took away my everything. I loved you the most. I respected you. But you stole everything."

Anna saw Nina holding Lucas's arm and not letting it go. Even Lucas was holding up to Nina which was shattering Anna into pieces.

When everyone did'nt believed her she thought Lucas might. But Lucas also cheated on her that too with her sister.

"You tried to sell me off to that old man who just has lust in his eyes. How can you be so shameful?"

"You just get the hell out of here. From today this is my mansion and your bussiness is from now on mine." Nina said.

"I am not going anywhere."

Nina stepped forward and started to drag Anna out of the house. As she pushed her towards the front door she asked her to leave. Anna looked at Lucas with tears in her eyes and begged her grandpa for help but even her grandpa turned deaf ears.

With broken heart she was in compulsion to leave that place. She left thinking where she went wrong in her life amd what mistake did she made that she was betrayed by her own family. She started to walk through the road straight as rain started to pour.
