The Mistake

Gabriel’s Pov

“Mom, answer me. What are you talking about? Why is this your fault? Did you do something?” I asked, getting impatient.

“I'm sorry son. Your father called me yesterday asking me how you're doing and I told him about your love life,” she said. I didn't even know what to say.

“I'm so sorry son. I didn't know this would happen,” she said, sobbing hard.

I wanted to hang up the phone and crash out but I have to hold it together. ‘How could she do that and she knows we don't have a close relationship’ I thought.

“Mom, he hasn't called since he walked out on us 20 years ago. Why did you give him that information? He doesn't care about us,” I said, feeling pain building up in my heart.

“Mom, I have to go. I have to cool down and clear my mind. I will talk to you soon,” I said, and hung up.

I rest my head on the staring wheel for a few minutes before driving off. I took out my phone and called Dex.

“Dex, can you start up my helicopter?”

“How do you even know I'm at your place?”
