Nathan's POV

" What are we doing here? Is this the surprise you mentioned?" Margot looked at me, displeased, and I did everything to hide my smirk.

We were standing in the massive lobby of Reed's company. It was now filled with people invited to see his success. Reed made sure to gather everyone who meant anything in our world. He was going to show Sam to all of them, like a new trophy. Well, they will be surprised, one way or the other.

" You do not like it?" I looked at Margot, who was now looking around with anxiety. We chose casual clothes so we could mingle more easily. The last thing I wanted was to be recognised here now.

" Does it surprise you? Why are we here?"

I shrugged my arms. " Why should we miss such a show? Who knows what will happen?"

Margot glanced at me, surprised by my words. " Seriously? You dragged me to a place where I will probably see Sam?"

My lips curled upward. " I dragged you here so you can see Sam."
