~Gabriella‘s POV~
When Xander turned a year old, I went back to school. I was freelancing and active with my photography. I was studying part-time, and finally, I graduated, and I couldn't find a job. I also wanted to improve my photography and videography skills. Xander and I agreed to go visit one of the shelters every Saturday morning. Xander was now four years old, and he was such a sweet little boy. Because I didn't have a car, I leased a studio near his school to take him to pre-school every morning and pick him up every day. Alex and Chloe married last year and bought a house. On Saturday, Chloe and Alex were hosting a barbecue, and we were invited. We took a cab to Alex and Chloe's home after visiting the shelter with Xander. We were the only ones there, with the exception of a few of Alex's friends. Since we were always looked down on as orphans, Chloe and I have never been very good at making friends. Due to the inclement weather outside, we chose to stay indoors and watch television. Xander was outside with Alex and his friends. We weren't paying attention to what was on TV or what was being said as we were busy talking about work, but I heard it.It has now been confirmed that Javier Hills, the zillionaire businessman, is no longer reachable. Sandra Williams, his seven-year-old girlfriend, is now engaged to him. When I saw Javier's photos on TV, my jaw dropped wide. I wasn't in the mood. About 5 years ago, he was dating someone when he slept with me. So that's why he abandoned me and left me in that manner. I screamed. I couldn't control myself any longer. It was as though I'd seen a ghost. Then it dawned on me what had happened. I was just supposed to be a one-night stand for him. Why did I make such a big deal out of it? I wiped my tears. I know he's alive, at the very least. If Xander enquired about his father, I would tell him that he is alive but is unable to join us. That's better than telling him I'm not sure whether he's alive or not. After the barbecue, we came home. I bathed and put Xander to bed. As soon as I walked inside my room, I started crying. What drove him to do such a thing to me? He had prior experience. He could have pulled out or used a condom at the very least. I appeared to be well throughout the day, but I knew I was drained. He had a girlfriend, so he should have been responsible. At the very least, I now accept and acknowledge my unimportance. I'm not going to bother him in any way. His absence has been beneficial to my son and me in many ways. We've been able to get by without him. He is completely unaware that he is a father. I dropped my son off at school the following day and went to work. Due to the increasing demand for studio photographs, my studio was recently filled. With time, the studio became busier, so I added two additional employees, Logan and John, who were both outstanding. I was editing at my office when I received a call from Xander's school, who said he was experiencing an allergic reaction. I dashed to school to pick him up. I was terrified since my son had never been hospitalized before. When we arrived at the hospital, Xander was in bad shape; his body was swelled, and he was frantically scratching his whole body; he began crying, and everyone stared at me as I raced in. I accidentally bumped into someone and dropped my belongings while apologizing to her. I had to put Xander down and gather the items I dropped. Xander couldn't stop crying and I was terrified; he'd never been sick before. To my amazement, the lady made a fast phone call and ordered me to follow her, which I did. We entered the ward, which was equipped with everything. I shifted my gaze to the doctor."I'm sorry, but I didn't make a reservation for the VIP ward.""Don't worry, ma'am; everything has been taken care of.""By whom," I inquired of the doctor."I did," said the elderly lady I'd met earlier."Ma'am, you didn't have to."" It's okay child, what matters is that your son should get treated. If you want to pay me, just take him to visit me. I live alone, and a child may transform a house into a home."" Thank you very much, I'll definitely bring him." The doctor interrupted our conversation and asked" What caused the reaction is pretty bad""They ate brinjals and chickpea curry, according to his teacher. I have never cooked that at home. Chickpeas and brinjals are two foods that I despise. That's why I was completely unaware that Xandar was allergic to it.""Assist me with removing his t-shirt," the doctor said. I observe Xander's birthmark being assessed by an elderly woman. Then I heard her enquire." Do you have a birthmark like his?""No, I'm not afflicted with a birthmark. I think it's from his father or someone in his family, or maybe even mine, but I'm not sure." She smiled as she glanced at me, and I smiled back." Do you mind bringing him to me this weekend?"" Sure, I can bring him.""If it's okay with you, I'd appreciate it if you could bring him to me every weekend. My home may be monotonous at times.""It's not a problem at all; it's difficult to get someone to babysit on weekends, so if you don't mind, I'll bring him and pick him up later."We swapped phone numbers."Well, it's settled then. They gave him sedatives. He should be OK when he wakes up.” I thanked her, and she left, not sure why, but I feel like I can trust her with my son.~Zion's POV~ It’s been a month since I came back from the hospital. Maya did an excellent job managing the company, and it was a clever decision on her part to invite Lucas to serve as Vice President. For quite some time, I have had it in mind to promote Lucas to the position of Vice President. After Maya delivered birth, my original intention was to get him elected vice president of the company so that I could spend more time with my family while Lucas managed the company. I have no idea how Maya was able to deal with Jacob. My little Bunny could be quite fearsome sometimes. Everything was just as good as I left it. Additionally, there were positive financial flows. I looked at the time and then shut down my laptop so that I could start making my way home. I am in desperate need of some quality time with my children. They are already calling me dada. Yea, I am a fucking dada right now, and it’s the best feeling ever. I closed my laptop, left my office, and asked the driver to head st
~Maya’s POV~I cautiously opened my eyes and saw my entire family piled into my bed while I heard muffled conversations going on around me. It’s giving me a terrible headache. I got out of bed and sat down slowly.“What happened?” I asked, not sure what was going on.“You fainted, and the doctor said it was due to stress, so we brought you home.” Then I had the sudden realization that there had been gunshots at the hall of justice today immediately after the court had finished.“Where is Ivy?” As I kept an eye on her, I noticed that she was looking down. I rose up.“I’m sorry Maya, but she deserved it. She could have killed you. It’s possible that the kids would have grown up without a mother.“I know, but you could have gone to jail too, sis.”“Well, that was self-defense. She was lucky that I aimed for her leg. I could have aimed for her skull.”“Ivy!”“What!”“You are not a murderer. Where did you get a gun?”“Well, if you mess with my family, I can be a murderer.”“Okay, where did
~Maya’s POV~The high court was situated on one of the busiest streets in M-City. It was smack dab in the heart of M-City. My family and I got out of the cars and strolled in, and we watched as Kelly and her family did the same thing. Her parents were successful in getting her released on bail. It is a mystery to me how that took place in the absence of a trial, yet this is where the fight took place. The family feud between the Archers and the Martins was what everyone was talking about. Kelly gave me the once over from head to toe, but after that, she began behaving as though she was extremely mentally disturbed. However, I am not easily duped. Because of this, I am currently one step ahead of them. We sat down and waited for the court to start. Today, the courtroom was noticeably busier than it typically was, most likely as a result of the presence of two of the most infamous families. I could hear murmurs and whispers filling the large hall as everyone tried to predict the outcome
~Maya’s POV~I carried the agreement with me as I walked out of my office, which I had drafted for Jacob Martin earlier. I exited the hallway and entered the conference room. I took my stand and addressed the press. I watched as Jacob Martin arrived and then I went on to announce that Archer Group would now be partnering with Martin Cooperation. The press took pictures. One thing I know is that Joseph will not have the chance to read the document he is signing. As he took the stand next to me, he gave me a piece of paper with an insulin vial. After taking a quick glance at the paper and the vial, I slipped it onto my blazer. It was the amen of the drug Kelly used on my husband. I gave Josepher the agreement and, as expected, he didn’t go through the whole document.Stupid man.As I saw him sign the document, a grin spread across my face. After the conference, I made a dash for the hospital to find Zion’s doctor and handed the piece of paper and the vial to him, despite the fact that I
At the Martin’s Cooperations, Jacob Martin couldn’t believe he had just been disrespected, especially by a girl he underestimated. In a fit of rage, he threw everything off his desk and broke anything that was susceptible to being damaged. He checked the time on his watch. He had 50 minutes to come up with a solution, and he knew there was no way to buy out time; the girl was deadly. He was perplexed as to why the girl seemed so icy compared to Zion. Why did Zion let me have my way? That girl, where did she learn how to do business? The man made light of his predicament with a hearty laugh. A green hand will be responsible for deciding the future of Martin Cooperations. He began to pace back and forth until the thought occurred to him to contact an attorney for assistance.Line 2: HelloJacob: Edward, I need help within the next half an hour. Can you assist?Line 2: Only on the condition that you tell me how much harm we’re talking about and which family or firm we’re dealing with her
~Maya’s POV~ After I was searched and they didn’t find anything on me, the three women finally opened the door for me. “Is this how you treat all your business acquaintances, Jacob?” I don’t care to fucking call him Mr. Martins. For all I care, he does everything like a man wearing panties on his skull. Stupid man. I reserve the title of Mr. only for people who have earned my respect. I flashed him a grin that did not reach my ear. I really don’t have the time. Thanks to my husband for always wearing a cold face in the outside world, I can cope with wearing one for this idiot in front of me. “Well, you can’t blame me. You sent my daughter to jail after recording your conversation with her.” “Fair enough.” I didn’t wait for him to ask me to take a seat. I helped myself. “I didn’t know you had company.” “Well, I didn’t know you were coming. Mrs. Archer.” “That makes sense,” I remarked. Looking closely at the old man, I am about to finish today. “If you came to talk about my daught
