Chapter Seven - Bullshit Night

"What a horrible idea this was!"

A stink of regret sat in her stomach as she stared at her sister, Chloe, in the facetime call they were having. She had never gone on a date with anyone in the past 26 years of her life.

Weird?

Her mother raised them as celibates after two failed marriage and an ocean worth of love drama that had to do with her past. Not wanting her babies to experience this particular maelstrom of shattered promises and lingering disappointments, she made them take a vow of celibacy.

"Tell me it's a joke Cass, you're not really going to wear that. Are you?" Chloe cringed at the purple corporate dress she wore. It was a very thick cashmere material with a long sleeve and a collar at the neck region typically suitable for a business meeting.

"I love it, makes me feel a bit warm and you know, comfortable." She smiled happily.
