Chapter Sixty Seven- Life or Death

Nick fumbled with the keys in his hand as he stared at the door in front of him. Despite the fact that he had rushed out of the house, he knew he didn't leave the front door hanging. He fell under suspicion of burglary and took out his phone, setting it on the recorder . As he strolled further into the hallway, the lights went off, increasing his anxiety.

He made to turn on the lights when a hand grabbed his neck from behind.

“Don't you dare touch me.” He tried to fight back instantly but felt the cold metal of a gun pressed against the side of his head as he was being led to one of his rooms.

“Sit!” The voice ordered, standing behind him.

“Marcus?” He called out in shock, recognising his voice.

“Don't fucking call that name.” A resounding slap stung his cheek and he gasped, unable to move because he had his hands tied behind the chair.

“What the fuck do you think you're doing!” Nick yelled menacingly as he shot daggers at him in the dimly lit room.

“Trying to put your shits right!”
