Chapter Thirty Eight - A Deep-Seated Connection

“Did you just bite me?” A sharp cry escaped from his lips and he released his hold on her thigh, making her flinch with a mild scream.

He lifted her off gradually and tossed her into the water, cracking up with laughter immediately she propped her head up. She giggled and wiped the water off her face while moving towards him.

Without giving him much time to predict her next action, she lowered down and splashed as much water as she could on his face with her two hands.

“You don't know what you just signed up for.” He screamed and cowered back. Peals of laughter followed the squishing sound of the water. He slumped back into the water, chasing her as she meandered to the poolside.
