I Have Evidence

After 2 Months...

"Ms. Ferry, congratulations... You are two months pregnant."

Stella's body instantly froze. She didn't blink her eyes for a minute. The words that came from the doctor stunned her. It seems like a bomb. The word 'pregnant' makes her heart quiver, it also makes her body shiver.

"W-what, doc? I... I think I didn't hear it clearly."

The female doctor smiled at her. "You are two months pregnant. And it's very healthy, Ms. Ferry."

Stella gasped while staring at the test report the doctor placed in front of her.

"I... I'm pregnant?" ang tanging namutawi sa bibig ni Stella

The doctor is still smiling and nods. "Yeah. Hija, your next check-up is next month. You can bring your husband so that he also hears your condition. Mas maganda rin 'yon sa stage ng pagbubuntis mo."

Stella didn't know whether to smile or cry because of her condition.

'I am so young to become a mother. But... This is my child. Although I didn't expect this would happen but this is my baby, my new family...'

Stella slowly runs her palm to her still flat abdomen.

Tumango ng bahagya si Stella sa doktor. "I understand, doc."

"Good, Hija. Oh, anyway, let me tell you this. Even if you are so young and your baby is very healthy, you still must be careful. Alalahanin mo na dalawang buwan pa lang ang baby mo. So means nasa high risk pa rin ang kalagayan niya kapag may sakunang mangyari. So, Hija, you should be careful in every of your moves, understand?" paalala ng doctor kay Stella.

"Y-yes, doc. Thank you for your reminder."

"Well, I will prescribe you some vitamins for the baby. Also, please, drink more water and also eat some healthy fruits."

Habang nagsasalita ang doctor ay tumatango lang si Stella.

"If you feel uncomfortable, immediately report it to me."

"Yes, doc."

"That's all."

Stella is still in deep thought. Hindi niya akalain na nasa harapan na pala ng malaking bahay ang taxi na sinakyan niya.

Huminga muna siya ng malalim bago siya tuluyang bumaba ng taxi.

Stella caress her abdomen. 'Baby, I will keep you even without your father. No matter what happened, isisilang at aalagaan ka ni mommy. Hindi ka maghihirap lalo at magiging akin na ang iniwan nila mommy at daddy.'

Stella's heart warmed when she was sure her child's future was by her side. Alam niya at nasisiguro niyang maitataguyod niyang mag-isa ang kanyang anak. Kahit pa isa pa siyang estudiyante.

"You're here."

Stella stopped from stepping the stairs. Nalingunan niya si Tanya. Agad kumunot ang noo niya. Hindi pa rin niya nakakalimutan ang ginawa nito sa kanya. Yes, hindi pa niya ito kinukompronta dahil hinihintay pa niya ang kilos nito.

Umarko ang kilay ni Stella habang nakaharap rito. "Yes?"

"Hm, hinihintay ka ni mommy sa living room."

Kununot ang noo ni Stella. Naisip niya na baka ang tungkol sa pagdating ni attorney ang dahilan kung bakit kakausapin siya nito.

Tahimik na tinalikuran ni Stella si Tanya. Ngunit hindi pa siya nakakalayo nang may pumigil ng kanyang braso.

When she looked back, she frowned. Ang mukha ni Tanya ang nalingunan niya.

"Saan ka nanggaling?" tanong nito.

"Bakit mo tinatanong kung saan ako nanggaling?"

"Wala kang klase sa ngayon at bukas, so... Saan ka pumunta?" Tanya continues asking. "Don't tell me kay Mia?"

"Yes, so?"

"Liar," Tanya said with a smirk.

Kumunot ang noo ni Stella at hinila niya ang braso mula sa kamay nito at mahigpit na nakahawak sa sling bag niya. Kung saan naroon ang pregnancy result niya.

"I call Mia's house. The housekeeper said your best friend is out of town with her family. So, saan ka nanggaling?"

Stella didn't answer and she was trying to ignore Tanya's questions.

"Where?"

"None of your business."

"Hm. May itinatago ka?"

Stella frowned. Napatingin muli siya sa kamay nito na pumigil muli sa kanya. Inalis niya iyon at bahagyang dumistansya rito.

"A-at ano naman ang itatago ko sa'yo?"

Tanya smirks. "So, meron? Hm, let me guess kung saan ka pumunta. Sa hospital ba?"

Stella froze. Hindi niya inasahan ang hula nito.

"So, I'm right?" Tanya laughed.

"A-anong..."

"Dalawang buwan..."

Stella's face paled suddenly.

"Dalawang buwan na simula nang matapos ang birthday ko. Tell me, anong ginawa mo sa gabing pumasok ka sa silid—"

"What do you mean?"

"Simple, I have evidence of that night... You slept with... Oh, forget it."

Stella clenched her fist.

Tanya smiles viciously. "Go on. Mom is waiting for you, little sister."

Stella sigh and step inside the living room ngunit napahinto siya habang si Tanya ay nakatingin pa rin sa kanya.

"Tanya. I hope you will not do anything to provoke me. Remember, you and your family are nothing without my father's wealth!"
