My eyes felt heavy when I tried to open them. I squinted them to cope with the bright light. I sat up and a wave of pain travelled through my body. Looking around, I felt myself in a hospital room with an IV stand just beside me and then it all dawned upon me. Why I was there?
'Alim,' I whimpered.
"Alim," i shouted loudly and pulled the IV out of my arm. Blood began to ooze out of there but I could not find it in myself to feel any kind of pain. I got up on my feet and began to run out of the room. I entered the corridor and a nurse came running to me.
"Ma'am, what are you doing? Please, come inside." She tried to hold me back.
"Alim, where is Alim?" I asked hurriedly. Tears were flowing out of my eyes.
