"Audrey please!" Cassidy begged as she followed me into the kitchen. "It will only be for like two hours I promise!"

I grabbed a glass from the cabinet, then turned to the fridge to pour myself some juice trying to ignore my best friends request.

We have been best friends since the third grade. Even when we rarely saw each other through out the four years we spent attending different colleges. After finishing school we decided to share this ridiculously expensive two bedroom apartment that sits on 65th off Broadway in New York City.

Cassidy was an upcoming fashion designer and had just asked me to come in and replace one of the models who wouldn't be able to make it for the runway showing of her new collection that evening.

"I don't know Cass I'm not cut out for that and you know it."

Audrey is tall and slim with fair skin. She has long chocolate brown hair that she always keeps in a knot on the top of her head. Her eyes are a remarkable sea green that are always covered behind a pair of large framed reading glasses.

She was very beautiful even though she never thought so herself. She was always the quiet girl who wore her clothes a couple sizes too big, and wouldn't be caught dead in a pair heels because she was always afraid that she would fall on her ass.

While on the other hand her best friend was always the outgoing one growing up and would try anything at least once.

Cassidy was absolutely gorgeous with a pixie like figure, short ash blonde hair, and her eyes were an outstanding blue that looked even brighter against her naturally tanned skin.

"I don't know why you always have to put yourself down like that it pisses me off, you can't always hide behind the counter of The Sugar Shack!"

Audrey always had a passion for cooking and baking which led her to her ultimate decision on going to culinary school where she received her bachelor's in culinary arts. She had recently opened her own little bakery/cafe "The sugar shack" which usually stayed pretty busy, it made her proud of the fact that she was only twenty-five and already owned her own small but successful buisness.

The only thing missing was someone to share her happiness with, but she never dwelled on that thought. Ever since she was young her mother who was also an ex beauty queen had always told her she'd be lucky for any man to have any real interest in her because she was too smart, too tall, and had the figure of a boy.

Michelle Raynor always made it clear to her daughter that she'd probably never get married or give her grandchildren.

"HELLO! earth to Audrey are you even listening to me!" Audrey jumped and almost dropped the glass of juice from hand as she snapped out of thought. "Please just this once I will never ask you again! I swear! You know I wouldn't ask you if I had anyone else to do it. Just please!"

"Oh quit getting all pouty on me Cass!"

She took a sip from her glass then walked over to the kitchen island and sat on the bar stool across from her friend.

"You know if i do this you are gonna owe me big! Next time you damn well better have ten back-ups ready because I will not do this again and since I'm helping you, then tomorrow morning you have to come help me at the Sugar Shack I have an order for ten dozen cupcakes for a party and I could use some extra hands."

Cassidy's blue eyes lit up as she jumped up and down.

"THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! We have to leave here at six so we only have about thirty minutes. I'm going to finish getting ready but you don't have to worry since there will be people to do your hair and make-up there."

Cassidy started to walk towards her room to get ready then turned back.

"Oh and by the way if any of the cupcakes get burned tomorrow its not my fault because you know I'm no damn baker!" she laughed as she headed back down the hall.

"Yeah well if I fall and break my leg or my neck then that will be YOUR fault!!" I yelled back as I headed towards the living room.

Audrey sat on the couch and grabbed her IPad off end table. Deciding to browse for some new recipe ideas while waiting for Cass to get ready. About an hour later the door buzzer went off. "Yes?" she asked while hitting the button. "Ms. Corday's ride has arrived." the man responded. "We will be right down. Thank you." She headed down the hall and knocked on Cassidy's door "Hey Cass you ready? The ride is here."

"Yeah, just one sec." the door opened and cassidy walked out and looked every inch the fashion diva that she was. Of course she had to of designed the long, sleek, one shouldered black dress herself. It held intricate designs made of silver rhinestones and there was a slit going up her left leg that stopped at mid thigh showing off her long legs and the sexy black heels she wore.

Cassidy undoubtedly designed this dress just for herself, she had an awesome imagination and came up with incredibly beautiful designs.

Audrey stared at her friend in awe and wished she was as beautiful and had as much confidence as her friend then maybe she wouldn't be so inexperienced with men.

The last boyfriend she even had was in high school, and in college she spent all her time in her studies and doing her best to perfect the skills she would need for her career.

Cass was always the sociable, outgoing one. While she was always the nerdy book worm. Maybe that's why they were such good friends they were the yin to the others yang.

"Let's get out of here so were not late to my own show, and they still have to get you all dressed up!" Cass said as she looked at Audrey who still was in the clothes she'd worn to work. There was slight batter stains on her pants where her apron would have ended. "Oh joy." she grumbled as she followed Cassidy out the door and down to their awaiting ride.

When the limo turned down East 76th she immediately saw the immaculate structure of the five star hotel that was in partnership with the show for Corday Fashions.

They pulled up front and Audrey stepped out when the driver came around and opened the door. She waited a few seconds while Cassidy slid out after her then they both headed towards the entrance of the luxurious hotel.

As soon as she walked in she gasped at the beautiful interior, marble floors and columns with little bits of gold speckled through out, the design and furniture within looked as if it was antique but new at the same time.

To her right was a classy restaurant where the guest were able to dine or enjoy a drink, left of her was three sets of elevators. Then strait ahead past the welcome desk there were a set of doors which Cassidy grabbed her hand and pulled her through, as they passed the other side of the doors she saw a huge lit up pool with a slim runway going strait down the middle. Behind that was a tented area that had been set up for all the models to get ready in.

There were small round tables surrounded by chairs that crowded the runway. She noticed that each table was lit up with tea light candles and there were little gift bags placed on top of each chair. They were heading toward the dressing area when they were stopped by the most gorgeous man Audrey had ever seen!

  • Only Yours    Chapter 16

The moment the door closed behind me, the silence was deafening. No footsteps echoing after me. No soft voice asking me to stay. No warmth of her presence pulling me back in. Just the chill of regret sinking into my bones like ice water. Axle hadn’t said a word since I left her apartment. It was like he’d turned his back on me completely. Not a growl. Not a snarl. Not even that low rumble of disapproval he always gives when I do something he doesn’t like. Nothing. And that silence from him hurt more than I expected. Because it wasn’t just disappointment—it was heartbreak. I knew the second I walked away from her I was making the wrong choice. Hell, I felt it in the way my chest clenched like I’d torn out my own damn heart and left it behind. But I’d convinced myself I was doing the right thing. That I was protecting her. That maybe if I gave her space, she’d be safer… from me, from this world she doesn’t even know exists yet. But every step away from her had felt like a betra

  • Only Yours    Chapter 15

The silence was deafening.I stood in the middle of my apartment, staring at the front door Sebastian had walked out of not long ago, my chest rising and falling in uneven breaths. A sick, hollow ache twisted in my stomach, and the air around me felt too still—like even the walls knew something had changed.I didn’t want to cry, but the tears were already forming, burning behind my eyes like a dam about to break. How could he just leave like that? After everything we shared—the rawness, the honesty, the way he held me like I was the only thing that mattered. I thought… I thought we were building something real. Something worth holding on to. But now, he was gone. And I was here. Alone. Again.I wrapped my arms around myself, moving toward the couch like my legs had forgotten how to work properly. Everything felt numb. My skin, my thoughts… even my heart. It was like something had been torn from me and left a gaping wound that no amount of logic could stitch back together.I sank down

  • Only Yours    Chapter 14

Sebastian POV I sat alone in my car outside Audrey’s apartment, gripping the steering wheel so hard my knuckles turned white. The engine was off, the streetlight buzzed above me, and the only movement was the occasional passing car. But all I could think about was the look in her eyes when I left. She had kissed me like I was everything—and still, I walked away. Because I had to. Because if I didn’t, I would’ve told her everything. That I wasn’t just some guy falling hard for her. That I wasn’t even fully human. That she belonged to me in ways she couldn’t understand yet. That I’d already claimed her in every way that mattered, even if she didn’t know it. Fuck. I leaned back in the seat and let out a heavy breath, staring up through the windshield at the dark clouds slowly shifting across the sky. The moon was half-full tonight, glowing with just enough pull to make Axle stir restlessly inside me. “Go back to her,” he growled. “I can’t,” I muttered aloud. “She needs space.” “S

The park felt different now. Quieter, somehow. As if it had absorbed the lingering tension and hope we left behind on that weathered bench beneath the swaying tree limbs. I kept thinking about the way Sebastian had looked at me, as though I was the only person in the world who mattered. And I wanted—so badly—to believe that was true. But the moment we stepped back into the city’s rhythm, the spell started to fade. I walked slightly ahead of him on the way back to his car, not because I was trying to get away, but because I was afraid if I looked at him too long, I'd start asking questions I wasn’t sure I was ready to hear the answers to. What did he mean when he said there was more to him than I knew? Why did his touch always seem to burn deeper than anyone else's ever had? And why did a piece of me feel like I’d always been waiting for him? I hated feeling uncertain. The bakery, my little world of flour and butter and sugar, made sense. Ingredients followed rules. Heat transform

  • Only Yours    Chapter 12

Sebastian POV This woman is going to be the death of me—my Mate. She stands beside me like she belongs here, that shy smile lighting up her face and the faint dimple only I seem to notice. I’ve tried to ignore it, tried not to think about her, but Axle—my wolf—won’t allow it. He knows she’s mine. Her scent, a mix of vanilla and honey, lingers in my mind, distracting me from everything else. I’m the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, the largest and strongest in the States. For years, I thought I’d never find my Luna. Then I found her—and learned she’s human. That complicates everything. How will she take the truth? How do I tell her about the bond we share without scaring her away? When she slipped into my shower that night, Axle took over—fierce, possessive, jealous. Maybe it’s wrong to admit I’m glad I was her first. She’s mine, completely. Now, I just need a plan to tell her we’re meant for each other—and hope she feels the same. Audrey POV We stepped outside, the cool breeze brushin

  • Only Yours    Chapter 11

After her mother left, Audrey took a shaky breath, the silence settling uncomfortably in the air. She glanced down at the counter, her hands trembling slightly as she reached for the tray of pastries she'd been arranging. She was trying to keep her composure, to shove down the feelings of inadequacy that her mother's words had unearthed. But Sebastian wasn't having it. He placed his hand over hers, stilling her movements, his touch warm and grounding. "Hey," he said gently. "You don't have to hide how that made you feel." Audrey blinked, glancing up at him, her defenses starting to crumble. She tried to pull her hand away, but he held her firm, his gaze steady and unwavering. "I've known you only a short time, Audrey, but I can already see you have a strength your mother can't see. And, I hate to break it to you, but she's wrong. About everything." She forced a smile, but it didn't reach her eyes. "It's... it's just something I've gotten used to. Hearing things like that from her
