I was reviewing our latest quarterly projections when Ethan burst into the main workspace, his face flushed with excitement. Evelyn! You need to see this,” he said, waving a printed email. “Global Dynamics just put out a massive RFP. They’re looking for a full supply chain transformation partner. The contract is worth over two hundred million over five years. This could change everything for us.”

My heart skipped. Global Dynamics was one of the biggest logistics players in the country. Landing this would put Silverline on the map in a serious way. I took the email and read it quickly.

“We have a real shot,” I said, already thinking through our strengths. “Our sustainability angle and the new platform updates give us an edge over the traditional players.”

Ryan walked in a few minutes later, carrying coffees. He immediately sensed the energy in the room.

“What did I miss?” he asked.

Adrian stared out the window. “We have to. Losing this would be unacceptable.”
