CHAPTER 3: "Let's End It..."

MEDIA SCORE.

Aditi was done with her work when she was ready to leave work. The moment she took her car keys, Her phone vibrated. When she saw the caller ID, her eyes darkened. She controlled her emotions as she answered the call.

"Hello.", she spoke.

"Adi, I'm near your office. Let me take you out for a dinner date.", he spoke.

It was at that moment that she realised how shameless he was. It's been 2 months since they started dating and he never crossed the line, She thought he was being a gentleman, but she never thought he was cheating on her shamelessly. She felt chills all over her body.

"Let's meet. I have something to speak with you too.", She hung up as she walked down to see him waiting for her.

"Let me take you there." When he was about to take her bag. She stepped back. Adi felt disgusted yet she kept her calm as she looked at him without any expression.

"I will drive my car there. It will not be convenient for you to send me back. Also, let's just go to the café. I have dinner plans.", she spoke as Rohit felt something was odd, He knew her well. She never used to ignore him or hurt him in the face. But her actions today made him uncomfortable.

They reached The café in 20 minutes.

"One Hot Chocolate and a Cappuccino, please.", He ordered.

The order arrived in the next 5 minutes.

"Aditi, why don't you come and work in my company? Although it's not as competent as MODEL SCORE, it's also one of the leading companies.", he spoke as he sipped the Coffee with a warm smile on his face.

"Did you know what was the worst nightmare to me?", she spoke, as he stirred her coffee.

"Pardon?", he said as he didn't get her.

"After that accident when I was 10, the only memory I had was about a woman who left my hand in the middle of the crowd in the night and disappeared. I've searched everywhere, every place but still couldn't find her. Then someone took me to some unknown orphanage, and I was crying. I don't have any memory other than that." She lifted her head and saw him. Her cold eyes made him shiver and feel guilty. His smile stiffened as his heart started to beat without pause.

"Aditi Why are you speaking about it again? Did the nightmares start again?", He spoke.

"Nothing! I was wondering what to do-" When she was about to say something, someone interrupted her.

"What are you two doing here?", She heard a familiar energetic voice. Who could it be other than Riya.

This was not the first time Aditi experienced this. Every time they went to places, 3 out of 5 times Riya will meet them coincidentally. Remembering this, Aditi laughed at her foolishness. She hadn't even doubted them once. 'How dumb she had become when she trusted them?', she wondered.

"We are here for coffee!", Rohit smiled at her and asked her to take a seat.

"Adi, what a coincidence! I was shopping at the mall beside and was here for a coffee and found you guys here. I guess there is telepathy between us.", she said as she smiled like a pure innocent child.

"Yes. A pure coincidence!" Aditi said as she saw hickeys on Riya's neck and collarbone that she tried her best to conceal. She had never seen a girl as cunning as Riya. She treated her with all her heart, but she stabbed her in the back without any guilt.

"Okay! So, Aditi, weren't you saying something?", Rohit asked as he turned his focus to Adi.

Right, when he finished the sentence, the door of the café opened and a familiar figure walked toward the table were they seated. The girl looked elegant in the dress as she gave a vibe of a tomboy at the same time.

"Why did you call me here?", Wendy spoke in annoyance, she was even disgusted to see the faces of the two shameless figures in front of Aditi.

"Give me 5 minutes, let's go out for dinner.", Aditi spoke as Wendy nodded her head and dragged an empty seat as she lazily sat beside Aditi.

Seeing Wendy, the two faces turned black. They never really liked her.

"Hi, Wendy!", Rohit smiled at her.

Wendy saw him with a mocking smile on her face and didn't bother to reply. If she was given an opportunity, she would rather hit him so hard that he can't even lift his hand anymore.

"Are you upset about something?", Riya asked as she saw Wendy was not giving any reply.

"I speak with humans and not with-", Wendy paused as she didn't need to speak further her look told the next line as she took a magazine before her and turned the pages.

Riya tightened her fists but couldn't dare to shout or cause rucks.

"Why did you do it?", Aditi spoke at that moment as she lifted her head. Her shiny crystal black eyes carried no emotion or empathy whatsoever.

"What do you mean?", asked Rohit with a puzzled look on his face. Riya also had a bad feeling about the situation.

Wendy couldn't take it anymore. Before they could react, she lifted the cup in front of Aditi and gave a perfect hit on Rohit's face, Satisfied by the work she had just done on the man's face she lifted her head to see a new lukewarm coffee; the server brought which she direct took and threw it on Riya's face.

"Wendy, are you crazy? If you have something against me speak it out. What you just did is not right.", Rohit shouted like a mad man after he felt humiliated by the coffee that she just threw at him.

"Think this as your luck that the cappuccino which is not hot and that damn lukewarm coffee were used, But still I would've preferred something hot.", Wendy mocked as she was ready to hit him if he continued further. Rohit felt the blood rising in his body as anger made him shiver.

"Aditi, is this the friend you asked me to be patient with? She blamed me and accused me before. But I just took them. Now what she did was a little overboard!" Rohit spoke, as he wiped the coffee with the tissues. He also passed some tissues to Riya. Aditi felt it funny, yes she asked Wen many times to not be rude to him. It was she who supported all his actions. Suddenly she realised the feeling she was feeling was not because she dearly loved him but because he lost the trust, the trust she placed on him. All thoughts became clear to her.

"I thought this through. I am not as angry as I thought I would be. And then I concluded that I didn't love you so deeply that I have to fight for you with the backstabber beside you.", Aditi spoke as she shifted her eyes at Riya and then towards Rohit again.

"Let's end it if you are done with your childish bet." she stood up as she pulled the money from her purse and paid for the coffee. She leaned closer to Rohit. When their eyes met him, her lips raised into a dangerous curve as his heart felt a sudden skip.

"Will I also have the share in the bet you made with the stupid friends of yours?", she spoke as she took her belonging and left without turning back.

'How did she know about the bet? How did she know about Riya and me? But keeping all this aside, why is it so painful to see her leave like this?', he questioned him.
