Chapter 56

As I stared into Jet’s eyes, the world drifted away. My heart dropped in my stomach as the realization of what Adron meant crashing into me. “This is all your fault.” I was to blame for this. How many creatures did he take with him? How many people are dying right now because of my actions? Are my parent’s alive?

Jet stood up and started yelling commands, but I couldn’t hear what he said. It was all a blur. Flash backs of my birthdays and getting dressed up for dances danced in my watery vision.

“Ivory! Snap out of it!” Jet grabbed my shoulders and shook me.

“W-what?” I asked, looking into his eyes.

“We are going to take our plane. I will get the warriors ready. Go get yourself ready to go and get my stuff laid out for me.” I stared at him, trying to comprehend what he was asking. “GO!”

Shit. “Okay.” Turning, as fast as my legs could carry me, I ran up to our room and stripped as I did it.

“All sections two and three warriors report for emergency attack. You have ten minutes
