Chapter 19

Liz

After talking to Alpha James, we went and had breakfast. We didn’t really talk as we had a lot on our minds. Once we were done, we headed towards the training field for the first lesson. When we got there, it seemed almost all the teenagers our age was already there. We stayed to the side and out of the way just observing everyone. I trained in my own way the way my mom taught me but not knowing how they did things here made both of us a little nervous. Louise more so since she didn’t train all that often. Enough to stay in shape but not like me.

I look at Louise and see her nervously biting her lip looking at everyone warming up. I touch her arm and she looks at me.

“It’s going to be ok. You got this.” I whispered to her.

“I’m just not use to training in front of others. Only you.”

“I know but unfortunately this is how it is here.”
