As soon as Evelyne saw me, I could see both relief and worry on her face.

Relief that I was finally found but worry because I must be looking like I had been through a battle. A few minutes back when my gaze accidentally fell on a mirror, I found my face all red and swollen, and my once white shirt was now drenched in blood.

So, she had been looking for me? Oh, God!

I was just a few feet away from the blast location but the moment I heard it, I knew what had happened. I had reached the hospital after helping the victims.

I felt a lump in my throat as I realized the severity of her emotions. She was clutching me tightly and all I could see was her shaking shoulders due to her sobs.
