Rosa’s POV

The weekend flew by in a blur, and before I knew it, Monday morning had arrived. I couldn't wait to head to school, not because I’m so enthusiastic or want to catch up on my studies, but to sort things out with Jasmine.

She’s the only real friend I’ve made and I don’t want Fidelia to be the reason why it’s ruined.

I was determined to try and fix our friendship. I hoped we could talk things through and that I could get her to forget Fidelia’s intrusion.

As I finished breakfast with my parents in a rush, I exchanged pleasantries with them before heading out to the carriage that would take me to school.

"Have a good day, sweetie," my mother said, smiling as she handed me a small package. "I packed you a snack for lunch for you today." She said.

Well that’s a first, even though it’s completely unnecessary. I suspected that they’re hiding something from me and I’d have to figure it out later.
