Epilogue

It’s been three years since Simone and Emmett were married. The pair had grown together over the time and the family got bigger with a new arrival six months ago; Lauren Josephine Peterson. Thankfully there was no surprises of a second baby during the delivery.

“Are you ready for our special evening?” Emmett calls from the living room as Simone walks out in her bodysuit, dressed in an off the shoulder royal blue evening dress with a slit up the right side. “You always look stunning” he adds, giving her a peck on her temple.

They were heading to the charity banquet for the local shelter for domestic violence. Cheryl helped establish it with the money given to her from Evelyn when she passed away. “Dad; we leaving shortly” Simone calls out as Phillip comes out of the playroom with Lauren in his arms and two three-year-olds hanging onto each leg. “Thank you for looking after them tonight” she adds.
