“Uh… Alrighty then! Tell us a bit about yourself. She said and the light centerd in on me.

“My names Allegra Sky, a proud Grey...”

“That's right baibey!” Somebody from the crowd shouted breaking the silence.

“Thanks Alice.” I chuckled I immediately knew it was her.

There was some murmur and short laughs.

“ Where I’m born is.., none of your F*cking business. What I like to do is none of your F*cking business. What’s interesting about me is none of your damn F*cking business. And my ideal date would be cutting of my dates dick, and shoving it so far up his ass that it comes out of his mouth.” I said with a huge fake smile.

It was dead silent. I could have sworn I heard someone spit out their drink in shock. I had to bite my tongue to hold me back from laughing.

I looked at a ghost white shocked and speechless Andrea and turned to make my way out of that stage.

“$5,000!” “10,000!” “$11,000!” “$13,000!”

You’ve got to be F*cking kidding me. Sick F*cks.

“$25,000.” A thick Russian accent called out. My heart stopped. This can’t be F*cking happening right now.

“Wow! $25,000 from Mr. Vladimir Moskov! Going once… going twice.”

Jesus Christ, just kill me now.

“$50,000.” A cool voice called out. Relief and anxiety washed through me.

I was relieved that someone out bid Moskov, and anxious that I couldn’t make out who it was.

I turned back to and started fishing for the the face though it was impossible with all the lights.

“$60,000.” Moskov called out.

“$100,000.” The cool voice spoke out angrily.

Great. I’m caught in the middle of two men’s ego contest.

“$150,000.” Moskov called out again.

“$200,000.” The cool voice yelled.

“$300,000.” Moskov hissed. I can tell he was starting to become angry.

“$500 F*cking thousand.” The cool voice growled.

Gasps were heard throughout the ball room, along with whispers amongst the guests.

“My word! $500,000! A new auction record! Going once… going twice…” Andrea paused, holding up her hand in anticipation. …and sold!” Andrea announced energetically.

Thank god it wasn’t Moskov. I swallowed my mouth was suddenly dry.

“Since that was our highest bid in the auction, please make your way to the dance floor for the first dance with Ms. Grey! Thank you Ace De Luca for your generous donation!”

The lights dim, and my attention falls on a smirking Ace De Luca. He was leaning against the back wall with his eyes fixed on me. He was wearing an all black fitted three piece suit. His hair perfectly done. His muscular arms were crossed, and his leg was propped up on the wall behind him. His lips started to slowly form into a smirk as he looked me up and down. He shoots me a wink, and motions with his fingers for me to come to him. You’ve got to be F*cking kidding me. I became faint and nauseated.

As I started to make my way down from the stage, I was locked onto Aces’ grey eyes. His glare was deadly, but there was something within his eyes that I couldn’t pin point. The space slowly started to close between us as the music started to play. The band chose Sway by Michael Buble, one of my favorites.

As we inched closer to each other, Ace dipped his head so his lips grazed my ear.

“Try not to step on my feet darling.” he whispered as he turned around to take his spot on the floor. I smirked.

He has no idea, all those years of ballroom dance are finally going to pay off. Might as well toy with him a bit. Before he could take another step, I curled my arm around his waist, teasingly slow. I move my hand from his side to the top of his defined abs. Damn this man is fit. He tenses, and takes a deep breath.

“Two can play this game, Miss Grey.” he says as his hand goes over my wrist, and glides to my hand as we sway to the music. My hand travels up to his back, feeling his dense muscles underneath his suit. I step to the side and our eyes meet again.

“Half a million just for a dance and a date? Getting desperate now, Mr. De Luca?” I smirk.

I gracefully place  my hand on his and twirls me so I am now in front. His nose trails up my jaw, making me shiver.

Earning a smirk from Ace now, he grips my waist with his left and my hips with his right hand. We then start leaning to the side, his hands moving slowly feeling my curves.

“Don’t let it go to your head.” He growled.

I twirl and he catches my waist in one hand, while the other achingly trails down my back. I grab the back of his neck, while my hand rests on his arm.

“Why did you do this?” I ask in a serious tone.

We lose our bodies to the music and start gliding across the floor. Displaying intricate moves and spins. We take another step and stop. His arm grazes underneath my Bre*asts and moves to the side, caressing under my arm until he reaches my wrist.

“I couldn’t let Mr. Moskov get you.” He whispers seductively in my ear.

“Oh? And why is that?” I say while my nose trails up his neck to his jawline. Slowly realising my breath on him.

He tenses, and I smirk. I love having control. We continue dancing around the ballroom, our faces inches apart from one another. His minty breath and cologne invading all of my senses.

“I can’t let him take away the kill I’ve been craving for 8 years, now can I?” he said as a devious smile stretched across his face.

“Did you grab food?” My wife said as I got in the car, bouncing excitedly in the passenger seat. “Did I grab the food?” I said playfully as I held up all her favorite and disgusting food she’s been craving for the past month. “God you’re the best.” She said as she snatched the peanut butter and Oreos out of my hand before I started the car and drove to the private airfields. I fell asleep for most of the flight, and woke up to the somber memory of all four of us laughing on our way to Colombia before both of them jumped out of the plane. Well, my brother willingly jumped out. I looked out the window at the tarmac and the surrounding buildings as we landed smoothly. I looked over at my wife, and gently nudged her shoulder to wake her up. “We’re here love. Come on.” I said as I gave her a slight smile. We exited the jet, and I got into the driver’s seat of the black Range Rover that waited for us and drove towards the shore. The beautiful and lush countryside was gorgeous, and I m

***ROMANO’S POV *** 4 weeks later*** We watched as my brother’s coffin was lowered into the ground. My father held my mother as she was crying hysterically, and to my surprise, even the Grey’s were crying over the loss of Ace. Allegra's coffin was buried on the other side of the field, something I know they’d absolutely protest against. I know that they’d want to be buried side by side, hell they’d even be buried in the same coffin if they could. But I kept my mouth shut and my opinions to myself as I watched the rest of the ceremony with my wife by my side. After Ace and Allegra went down to stop Moskov, the Russians grabbed the family members and dragged us down to the basement on a private elevator. Alice wasn’t a blood relative, so she was left behind. Luckily for me, my wife is a total badass, and practically killed all the Russian members at the venue herself. She found the explosives, and she and the members snuck down to the basement, and rigged them to the bottom of the s

Fuck! Fuck! Fucking Fuck Me!!!! My heart was racing as we pulled up to the estate, both from anger, excitement, anxiety, and fear. I was going to see Ace after 5 months! A part of me wanted to run into his arms, while the other part wanted to slit his neck. As the car stopped, my excitement quickly morphed into anger and sadness. He didn’t want to see me. He didn’t miss me. If he did, he would have written, he would have tried, he would have done something, anything. I needed closure. I needed to know why he completely disappeared from my life like a vapor vanishing in the wind. I needed a freaking explanation, a good one. I stepped out of the car and took a deep breath. I slowly walked up the steps to the house and opened the massive double doors. I opened the doors to see Alice running towards me with a huge smile plastered across her face. She embraced me with so much force, I had to stumble backwards in order to prevent falling on the marble floor. “ALLEGRA! Fuck I’ve missed

  • Over my dead body...or yours.   chapter 147

For the past 5 weeks that he’s been absent from my life, I was starting to think something happened to him, but it was rather unlikely considering he’s one of the best assassins in the world. He was one hard fucker to kill, and if he was alive… that means he forgot about me… avoided me on purpose. At first, I was a complete and total mess, drinking every night until I couldn’t feel the pain in my chest anymore. But after 2 weeks, I broke beyond the point of no return. I was numb, comfortably numb, and I embraced the familiar feeling with open arms. It was all a lie, all of his words, the sweet nothings he’d whisper in my ear, the promises, everything was a fucking lie. If he meant what he said, he wouldn’t have given up so easily on us because there was just a few thousand miles between us. He just… gave up. I was sent on a recon mission, to strictly gather information and to not engage in any combat unless absolutely necessary. But since Ace vanished from my life, I went on a damn

  • Over my dead body...or yours.   chapter 146

It’s been 155 days since I’ve arrived in this frozen shithole. I’m not sure whether it’s the constant snowfall, or my aching heart, but time seems to move unbearably slow here. When I first arrived here, things weren’t as bad as I thought it would be. Ace blew up my phone 24/7, our conversations usually consisted of him telling me how much he loved me following a heated discussion consisting of me convincing him to not take the first flight down to Samara and bring me back home. Some nights were impeccable. We talked for hours at a time as the sun rose in Russia, and the moon lit up the sky in New York. No matter how uneventful or dull my day was, I was always excited to go back to my hotel room because I knew Ace would be calling. But as Issac Newton so eloquently described, with every action, there is equal or opposite reaction, some days were less desirable than others. The belligerent calls were an obvious indication that the distance was driving a wedge between us. Russia was

“I can’t wait to take you to Italy, Amore. I can’t believe you’ve never been there!” He said as looked at me with excitement in his grey eyes. “It’s amazing, greatest culture, art, food, wine, you’d absolutely love it there baby.” Ace talked about his home with so much enthusiasm, it was like he was a kid on Christmas, and it was absolutely adorable. “Can you blame me? It’s forbidde, De Luca territory. I’d be killed before I even crossed the border.” I chucked as I took another sip of my wine. It took a moment for my words to process in my mind, and a somber feeling spread throughout my body at the fact that I’d never be able to experience it with him. I could tell he was thinking the same as his smile slowly faded, and was sat in silence. “Ace, how long do you think we can keep this up?” I asked quietly after a few moments. “What do you mean babygirl?” He asked with his eyebrows furrowed. “Us. How long can we continue keeping this a secret. I said as I took another sip of my win

“I received this the day after Alice told me we were pregnant with my son.” Romano said as he walked over to the shattered desk on the ground and dug through the rubble. “Correction. We started destroying everything in the pool house, laughing at our sick and twisted version of having fun. It was like a snowball fight except with furniture, bottles, and tables. None of us said a word as we stared at the empty whiskey bottles on the coffee table. The soft hum of music playing in the background filled the pool house. Ace’s “bachelor party” ended up being me, Romano and Ace getting shit faced drunk while Mama Alice babysits us. We were flying to Vegas tomo

“That’s my daughter.” My father beamed proudly. “Wait! Pause it!” Romano yelled, Alice quickly obliged, leaving a stilled shot of me flailing my arms in mid air. Romano took out his phone and took a few pictures of it while I looked at Ace, who looked furious. “Really?” He mouthed at me, rolling
