“It’s true,” she said at last, her voice steady, every syllable deliberate. “I, Rainee Garcia, formerly Garcia, am the principal shareholder of Vivacity, holding Sixty-five percent.”

A ripple of gasps swept through the room.

Cameras clicked like a dry machine. Reporters exchanged looks as if prizes had been handed out. They had the story of the season. Around them, flashes painted everyone in sharp, accusatory strokes. Alex stood almost motionless, his face unreadable, watching Rainee as if watching a performance unfold.

Emma, on the other hand, was spiraling into panic. Her breath quickened, her nails digging into her palm as the truth sank in, she held barely fifteen percent of her own company. The empire she had built, the power she had flaunted for years, was slipping through her fingers like sand.

“It’s not true! It must be-- must be fake! She’s lying--”

“Mother-in-law, I have one more surprise for you.”

Day Before the Marriage Alex Fraser arrived at the small, underrated museum where the painting he sought was kept. The gallery was tucked away on a quiet street, the kind of place tourists missed and locals cherished. The owner, a thin man with cautious eyes, looked genuinely surprised that anyone , and of all people, Alex Fraser , had shown interest in that particular canvas. When Alex made his offer, generous enough to raise the owner's eyebrows, the man accepted without hesitation. He promised to have the painting packaged and sent as soon as possible. Alex declined. He wanted to collect it himself. The owner guided him through the gallery. The space smelled faintly of turpentine and old paper, light from high windows lent everything a forgiving, muted glow. “You are very lucky, Mr. Fraser,” the gallery owner said with a small smile tugging at his lips. Alex’s brows furrowed. “What do you mean?” The unexpected compliment caught him off guard, stirring confusion in his chest.

Alex woke up early, and the first thing he saw was her sleeping face. A soft smile spread across his lips at the sight of Rainee resting so peacefully in his arms. Gently, he brushed a stray strand of hair away from her face, wanting to admire every delicate feature. She furrowed her brows slightly in her sleep, and he realized the morning sunlight streaming through the window was disturbing her. A pang of guilt hit him, yesterday had been exhausting for her, and he should have listened when she asked for rest. He placed his hand over her eyes, creating a gentle shade so she could continue sleeping undisturbed. His heart swelled with affection as he watched her breathe softly, realizing with startling clarity that he could stay like this, simply looking at her, for the rest of his life without ever growing tired. Almost ten minutes passed in quiet admiration before Rainee’s eyes fluttered open, revealing the warmth and familiarity of his gaze. "Good morning, baby." Rainee’s lips cu

“Please-”The word barely left her lips before his control snapped. With a vicious rip, he tore her dress open from the back. Rainee gasped, her eyes wide at the savage passion burning inside him.“Alex! I wanted to wear this--”He silenced her with his hand sliding down her back, unclasping her bra, and yanking it free from beneath the shredded fabric. He tossed it aside without a care.“They can make another one. If you want, they’ll make a thousand copies. But right now…”He inhaled sharply, his voice dropping to a growl.“Right now, you’re mine.”Rainee gulped, her body trembling. There was no stopping him now, he was like a beast finally freed from his cage. He buried his face into her neck, inhaling deeply, dragging his nose along her skin. She squirmed under the intensity.“You smell intoxicating. I want you. I want you so bad, Rainee. Forgive me if I go too far.”He didn’t wait for her answer. His lips latched onto her neck, sucking, biting, marking. She whimpered as his mouth

Alex leaned back, his gaze fixed on Rainee with an intensity that made her skin prickle. “Rainee,” he said quietly, his voice edged with restrained frustration. “For how long are you going to hide those things from me?” Her throat tightened. She forced a smile, but her lips trembled as though they had forgotten how to obey her. She clenched her fist and hid it behind her back. Alex noticed it but kept his mouth shut. “I… I don’t know what you mean, Alex. You must be mistaken.” For a moment, he studied her as though trying to pierce through the layers of her soul. Then, just as suddenly, his expression lit up. His hands gripped her shoulders with boyish excitement. “That you can work magic on people! You charmed my grandfather in a single meeting. Can you believe it? He’s agreed to our relationship!” Rainee’s stiff posture softened. A shaky breath of relief slipped from her lips, though she quickly disguised it behind a small, apologetic smile. “I don’t weave any spells, Alex. Y

“So you’ve already decided to go against the family for this girl?” “Grandpa, I love her. I can't imagine my future with anyone other than--” “We'll talk about that later. What do you want to eat? Tell the chef. If you’re ready, leave after you finish.” Alex thought for a second, then an idea lit his face. He smiled broadly. “I’ll cook for you today.” His grandfather looked as if he might have a heart attack hearing that from his grandson , a wide smile spread across Alex’s face, one he had never seen before. “What did you say? Why would you work in a kitchen wha--?” “Do you want to die without trying my cooking? It’s not a big deal to cook for your own family, Grandpa. You spend some time with her and I’ll go and cook for you.” His grandfather was stunned. For some reason, a knot formed in his throat at the thought of his grandson cooking for him for the first time in his life. His heart swelled with happiness and joy after such a long time, though he didn’t show it. He look
