He doesn’t want love, so why does he act like this?

That question had been echoing in my head for days. Maybe even weeks. I couldn’t tell anymore. Time feels slow and blurry lately. I barely saw Kai anymore. Not like before. Our conversations were short, if not entirely silent. He didn’t even look at me the same way. Just… blank. Like I was a stranger sleeping under the same roof.

I hated it.

I hated how tense the air became whenever we were in the same room. I hated how his voice had turned colder, how his eyes avoided mine, how the only time he even acknowledged my presence was when it was necessary.

It was pathetic.
