Chapter 16

"Sir, Miss Amanda is here," said the maid who approached me and Thane.

I could see the woman at the door. She was so beautiful and graceful. Her style was very meek, as evidenced by the things she wore. Of course, everything wasn't cheap. Even the jewellery attached to some parts of her body couldn't deceive her that they were pure diamonds and jewels.

In addition to her appearance, I saw the maid being very polite to this woman called Amanda. Everything looked so clear and real before my eyes.

Thane moved from his place. I saw that his gaze was different when he was with Amanda. Who exactly is this woman?

I stood up from my position, my eyes fixed on Amanda ever since the waiter showed me her whereabouts. But, in between, she seemed to be looking at me too. Her green beady eyes were coldly staring at me. I could see that she didn't like my presence.

"What's wrong?" Thane asked as he walked closer to Amanda.

"There's something I need to talk to you about," Amanda replied.
