The others gasp at her words, surprised that she had rejected the Alpha King's proposal and had rejected him, but they didn't say anything.
“Why do you want to avoid me?”
“I don't want to. I wish I could be happy without having to suffer a lot of pain, that's all.”
“You're talking nonsense. I love you, Celine, and I won't ever let you go unless you tell me that you want me to.”
“And what makes you think I want you to stay with me?”
She asked angrily.
“Because I love you! Why does everybody always think that they are going to get what they want by hurting other people? I love you, Celine, you are mine!” He said, grabbing both sides of her face.
“Stop saying those stupid things! Stop pretending that you love me and that we are meant to be together. I already told you that I don't deserve you. Don't waste your time trying to convince me otherwise. I know I'm unworthy of you.” She said and tried to pull away from his grasp, but he held her tight.
“Celine, why are you saying such cruel things? I love you, I have loved you forever, and I will never stop loving you.”
Celine closed her eyes tightly to prevent herself from crying and pushed him away from her.
She couldn't bear seeing him getting mad at her and losing his temper.
“Get out! Please.” She yelled.
“Why are you behaving like that? Why have you always rejected me?” King Roman feels so frustrated because the woman he was most in love with kept rejecting him, even though she was already pregnant with his baby.
“I hate you! I hate that you love me and that you have chosen to love me! Get out! Now! Before I kill you! “She yelled again and kicked him hard.
The king winced in pain at her kick and fell to the ground.
“I'll do whatever I want! And if you try to do anything to me, you won't see tomorrow!” She said and glared at him.
He then stood up and headed towards the door. Once he was gone, Celine immediately broke into tears and fell to the floor.
After that incident, all the staff members came to know about it. They all felt sorry that the king wasn't allowed to see her, he surely must feel so bad about what he did.
This is the first time for King Roman to have A rebellious person against all of his authority, and that was Celine.
Only her that kept against all of his wants the evilest, cruel, heartless King from the Dawn Kingdom.
But regardless of what Celine has done to him, he is still madly in love with her since the first time he saw her.
He wanted to prove to her that he loved her.
The day after, Celine finally woke up. She went to the balcony that overlooked the ocean, looking over the beautiful scenery. It had become peaceful and tranquil again.
She took a deep breath.
She missed this. This feeling when she had nothing to lose.
She closed her eyes and breathed deeply.
Just before she could open her eyes again, someone knocked on the door and walked in.
“Good morning, princess. How are you feeling?” King Roman greeted her, smiling warmly at her.
She didn't utter a word, simply stared at him. His smile faded.
“Did I hurt you?” He asked concerned.
“You should know that I don't respond well to being touched when I'm sleeping.”
“Oh, I'm sorry, Princess, I forgot that I should never disturb you in your sleep.” He said apologetically and bowed to her.
He was about to walk out of the room when she spoke up.
“Wait!” He turned around and faced her.
“How come you were so close to me yesterday when I was unconscious? I don't understand why I'm not feeling anything different, I'm not feeling any pain or nausea whatsoever.”
He smiled at her question.
“When you were in deep sleep, your soul, and body became closer to each other. Your soul merged with your body during your dream state, and therefore you didn't notice.”
“What?” She said, in shock.
“I heard that you were a very light sleeper, and I'm lucky that you didn't hear me knocking on your door.”
“So you kissed me?.” She exclaimed angrily.
“No, I didn't kiss you.” He chuckled.
"What do you mean, 'you didn't?”
“When our souls connect, there are times when we touch each other with our minds. We can form an intimate connection.”
“I don't believe you.”
“I am telling the truth, Celine.” He said softly as he cupped her cheeks in his palms.
“You don't believe me.” She repeated, a little amused.
“I do believe you.”
“Why?”
“Because when you're in my presence, you can only imagine how much I want to take you into my arms.” He said seriously.
His tone sounded so sincere that Celine couldn't help but smile.
“If only you weren't afraid to show me your true self.”
“My true self is everything, Celine. I can't hide my true feelings from you.”
King Roman lowered his head so that he could place his forehead gently on hers.
“Don't be scared, I'll never hurt you.” He murmured as she closed her eyes and placed her forehead on his.
They remained silent for a few minutes before Celine broke the silence.
“I forgive you.”
“Forgive me for what?”
“For breaking my heart.” She whispered.
“I didn't break your heart, Celine.”
“Yes, you did. I can't stand seeing you so weak and pathetic.”
“It's because I'm weak that I don't want to hurt you anymore.”
“You've already hurt me too much. I just want you to disappear in a heartbeat. Go back home, please.”
“Please listen to me, Celine…”
“Go home with me.”
“No… I need to tell you something.”
“Then tell me later.”
“No, I need to tell you now.”
“No.”
He sighed heavily, “Alright, Celine.”
“Thank you.”
He slowly got off her and sat down next to her.
“Do you remember when I first met you? You were so cute, so innocent and naive, and every time I looked at you, I could feel a strong attraction towards you and the way you looked at me, like you knew my secret.”
“What secret?" Celine asked, curiosity clear in her voice.
“Well, I've always known that you have a sister.”
King Roman finally get all of he ever wanted the throne, peace and his family back without any disturbing, he feels so happy to raise his children together with his beloved wife Celine.Celine was finally able to get out from the cursed and finally together with King Roman."Celine, let me take you into the magical garden there."Celine nodded and King Roman kept holding her hand.He kissed her hands and she smiled happily at him.The two got out of the castle and started walking in the garden. It wasn't just the normal garden but a magic garden that could make plants grow from anything. They went through the garden and when they get to a small pond near the garden Celine jumped into the water. She swims around happily and laughs as she looks up from the water. When she comes back out she saw that the king hasn't follow her so she looked over where she last seen him.He was standing right at the edge of the pond looking at something that made him smile like never before. Her husband a
Unfortunately, this didn’t stop his heart from breaking a little whenever they cried or when they woke up screaming in the middle of the night, scared of monsters or demons, unable to control themselves. Sometimes, Roman wondered if he should try to help them somehow, but then he remembered what happened the previous day. If he had interfered, then the kidnappers would have gotten away with everything, and Celine and his daughters would have died. Instead, he decided to ignore them, pretending as if nothing had happened and letting the incident be completely forgotten. This way, Celine could have a normal life again, and he could finally sleep without worrying about her.As Roman went through that process of ignoring and forgetting about the incident, he gradually began to grow tired. Despite that fact, he stayed up until late into the night before finally falling asleep. When he woke up the next morning, the sun was shining brightly and he could hear birds singing outside in the
Slowly and cautiously, he moved his gaze toward the direction that he thought he had seen the source of the noise coming from. And suddenly, he realized that the source of the sound had been Celine’s hand. She was clutching her left hand tightly in both of hers and she had begun rocking herself back and forth in a small circle. The movements weren’t violent, though, but rather rhythmic, and were definitely something that Roman recognized as something she frequently did when she was upset. It wasn’t that Roman was surprised that Celine was having trouble sleeping or that he was worried that she might be feeling uncomfortable. After all, she had been through quite a bit today, and it was understandable that she might feel that way. But what shocked him was that she was apparently doing it in the middle of the night instead of at the usual hour when he would normally be waking her up to ask her if she needed anything. It was odd behaviour for her, especially after what had happened
So, he would wait. He would patiently try to support his wife, and he would try to be there for her, and he would do his best to make sure that she was always happy. But above all else, he would have to keep reminding himself to stay calm. No matter how angry he was, no matter how hard he tried, he wouldn’t be able to break down if he were to lose his composure. And if he broke down, there was no doubt that he would never forgive himself. Not for something like that. He might not understand what it was like to live with her constantly and watch her suffer, but he didn’t want to find out what the outcome might be if he actually broke down. So, for the sake of his family, he would remain strong and hold himself together. That way, if things did end up getting rough, he had a chance to save what little remained of his family and his sanity. And that was all that really mattered. Everything else, everything else was just distractions. His thoughts were broken away from their current tr
It had become quite clear over the course of the last two weeks that he wasn’t going to be able to keep pushing Celine as far as he normally would have. It pained him to see her hurting like this. He understood, logically speaking, that she was still in a fragile place mentally, but it seemed that the more time that passed by and the more painful memories that surfaced, the less he wanted to push her. So, in order to help her move forward, he would have to allow her to talk to him, but only after she had been cleared for release. He was going to be patient with her, however long it took. In fact, he would be patient for years if it meant that he would eventually be granted the opportunity to help her heal and grow stronger.Roman sighed deeply and ran his fingers through his hair before turning his attention back to the book resting on his lap. It was nearing the end of the third chapter and he had already finished reading through it three times. This was the fourth time he had re
Celine continued crying quietly, occasionally letting out a small whimper or sniffle, until she finally lost the ability to hold back anymore. She sat against the cold white tiles, hugging herself tightly and allowing her body to relax as much as it possibly could. A part of her wished that she didn’t need to be rescued, that she could just fall asleep and never wake up again. Or that someone would come in and save her from everything else. Maybe Roman would come back after work and sweep her up into his arms and carry her to bed. Perhaps she could convince him to stay. To spend forever with her. To be happy together. But no matter how desperately she hoped that was going to happen, it wasn’t going to happen. Because he wouldn’t be back for another week and even if he was, that wouldn’t give her enough time to convince him that her problems were truly worth helping her deal with. It just wasn’t realistic. She wasn’t going to lie. It hurt. There was a part of her that still loved h
