GRACE
We walked silently to the park. Darkness bathed us in all its glory. The moon was barely out; a little crescent lighting up the night sky with clusters of stars surrounding it. The sight would have been beautiful if my anxiety gave me a break to appreciate it. The streets were dimly lit with yellow hues of the lamp posts which helped guide us to our destination.
Warm wind whipped through my hair, igniting the fire of my anxiety further. The prickles of goosebumps that coated my skin were simply something I had no control over. It wasn't only the thought of visiting the spot Sydney was taken that daunted me. No, it was meeting someone from the pack with unique abilities that werewolves didn't generally have that creeped the shit out of me.

GRACEAfter training this morning, I had to face a two and a half hour trip back to the Silver Dawn Pack. Silas and I were in his blacked out SUV while Kyrah and Xander followed closely behind. GRACE"Are you certain?" Gino asked, taking a swig of his beer, "I mean, I met the guy a few times. He was a total dick each of those times but he doesn't seem like the type to kidnap Monica. SILAS She refused to speak to me. The entire drive was spent in silence, with her staring out the window. It wasn't an awkward silence but it was a silence I wished to eliminate nonetheless. GRACEI awoke feeling way too hot than I should have. Reluctantly peeling my eyes open, everything seemed to be a blur. Blinking a few times allowed my eyes to focus. I found half of Silas' body sprawled on top of me, smothering me. GRACETraining this morning was canceled. My body held bluish-purple bruises and there was a discomfort between my legs. Silas felt bad after seeing the damage he had done but I assured him that I was perfectly fine. By midday I would have been fully healed.
