I was watching a horror movie and I had front row seats. Disgust flowed through my veins like lava spewing out of an active volcano. It was her disgust combined with my own. I was seething, watching through her eyes what that fucking cunt was doing to her and feeling exactly how she felt. It made me stop in my tracks, my men doing the same behind me.
We were tracking her, or I was tracking her through the mate bond — a mate bond that was weakening as the seconds passed by. I could feel her life slipping away but I could also feel her will to live still burning within her soul. I was proud that she still held strong, I just prayed that she could hang in there long enough for me to get there.
