CHAPTER 3

THREE MONTHS AGO

Keaton was invited to an underground auction by his peers, he was not interested in attending but after seeing the items to be auctioned he couldn’t help but smile.

Ever since he set his eyes on that young girl, he decided to buy only the best to hook her up, so in order to get that unique item he decided to go.

On the day of the auction he was busy talking with his friends when he saw the woman with a powerful aura. He had a thing for dangerous people as he can consider himself to be one.

The woman was dressed in a white suit looking magnificent and mysterious, by her side was a young man and, in his eyes, one could see the reflection of the woman in it. He could tell that the young man only has love for the older woman and they looked very perfect for each other.

When his friend noticed that he was staring at the other, his friend was kind enough to tell him about this woman. Her name was Aurelia King, a widow of a great businessman Mark King who passed away over a decade ago. The woman didn’t marry again but has a lover who was by her side of the name Quinton.

Quinton was a guy who was taken in by Aurelia at a young age and she supported him with other children, this act of charity didn’t stop at the first group but continued. In other words, Aurelia built her army at an early age and raised a loyal soldier who stood by her side through thick and thin.

By judging at the information that he heard from his friend he could tell that the woman was in her thirties and yet her countenance suggested otherwise.

Aurelia must have sensed that she he was looking at her because she looked at him and smiled at him. That smile creeped the hell out of him but he simply shook the feeling away.

The auction began and when the item that he wanted to bid for came, he quickly bid for it and won. He just never expected to hear a voice in his head, it felt very creepy but he knew that this person didn’t mean any harm.

“Bid for that old book, it will be good for your little girl. She won’t be able to fully develop herself if she doesn’t stabilize her foundation,” the female voice told him.

When he saw that this person knew that his little girl was, he was a bit scared and relived at the same time. He was relieved that he got to by something that can help the little girl which is he let loose when he bided for the book.

He spent quite a lot to buy the book but it was worth it, he was going to win the little girl with this.

Later that night as he left with his friends a familiar voice stopped him. He stopped and looked behind him only to freeze upon seeing the person who had transmitted her voice in his head.

The person was none other than Aurelia King, “She is a good girl. Protect her well or else she will go astray.”

She didn’t even wait for him to say anything before she left as if nothing had happened. Keaton didn’t explain anything to his friends but left after that and returned back to his country the next day. That trip made him miss his little girl so much that he couldn’t wait to find out if she had caused any mischief while he was away.

Enchantia Heartily was smiling happily kicking her legs like a toddler while sitting on her fluffy bed. Everything was like a dream to her, she just never expected to receive a marriage proposal from Keaton of all people.

If she had known her mischief will get her on a multibillionaire radar, she would have done so a bit sooner. She was so happy that she couldn’t form any words at all.

However, there was something that was troubling her and that was if Keaton had seen her then did it mean that there were others too? She didn’t want to be in trouble at all, worrying her foster parents was the last thing she will ever want to do.

When she was busy thinking her finger playing with the ring on her finger unconsciously the door to her bedroom was opened and she came back to earth.

She smiled at her foster mother who had probably come to check if she was sleeping. Her parents were hard workers and sometimes they will be home late, so having dinner together was something that rarely happen.

“Why is my baby so happy today?” Nevaeh her foster mother asked as she sat down.

“Mom, I have something I need to tell you but you must promise me not to get angry at me,” she said as she looked at her mother with those big and lovely eyes.

Nevaeh who knew that her daughter must have caused some trouble which is why she was trying to blackmail her with those eyes she couldn’t refuse.

“Just go ahead and spill it. I will protect you if anything happens,” Nevaeh said as she was reminded of the time her daughter beat two boys in elementary till their faces were swollen.

She was so scared she thought that something bad had happened to her baby. When she heard what had happened, she demanded for the whole truth and when the truth was unfold, everyone was shocked.

For parents to teach their children such vile words it was something very embarrassing and shameful. How can they scold her baby and say that she was abandoned and didn’t have parents?

Does she and her husband count as decoration for them to speak like that? She was so angry that she scolded the mothers of the boys. In the end she still paid the medical fees and took her baby home.

She just hoped that this time she didn’t send another poor soul to the hospital even though she will never reprimand her, her heart truly aches.

What she never expected was for her daughter to stretch her hand towards her. When she looked at her hand her heart stopped for a second. She blinked once, then twice and then the third time hoping that she was in some kind of illusion but this was no joke.

“Princess, what is happening?” she asked with gritted teeth.
