ZALVIN'S DEEDS

Since our families were on good terms with one another, we would meet whenever we felt like and that strengthened our bond.

Everything was falling into place perfectly and we were planning on taking our relationship to the next level.

We wanted to share everything with our parents and go on with the wedding.

It was then when your arrogant father got his eyes on her

He liked her and proposed to her but she said no, which made your father so angry that he employed some men to spy on her.

He later found out that the girl was already in love with me.

He ordered his men to kill me and fortunately my father's men came to my rescue before they could kill me.

Zalvin went on and presented his marriage proposal to Mr Scott's family claiming that he was deeply in love with their daughter of which they approved without asking the girl first and finally he married her.

I had to do something to help the girl because I was aware she was somehow pressurized into that marriage. I remember even before the wedding she appeared in my room early morning and asked me to forgive her

I didn't know that your evil father had threatened her to agree to the wedding. She was forced to say that she was in love with him before her family.

I assured her that I wasn't angry with her. I promised to stay by her side even after her wedding because I loved her beyond description.

It was then that I made a deal with the Giant Djinn to give me magic of invisibility so I started to be invisible.

Of course I had to sacrifice something to get those powers.

I agreed to give up all my happiness away just to keep close to the girl I treasured the most. I didn't know that such a minor agreement with the Giant Djinn would take all my people away.

I managed to find my way to your father's house after the wedding and I would turn back to normal whenever he was away from home.

She was so faithful that she never slept with me even though she wasn't in love with Zalvin. Every day I would wonder what kind of woman she really was. She always gave me the reasons to get obsessed with her and only her.

We would talk, laugh and spend time together as besties whenever we were left home alone.

Zalvin always had a problem with her whenever she refused to get close to him. She refused him from making love to her because she was aware that I was keeping an eye on them both. Every time he tried she would say, "I'm in my periods" or she would just like that she was so tired and needed to rest.

She would cook up excuses just to stop him from getting close to her.

I guess I was so weird because I would feel good while watching him being sexually tortured." He said all that while tears rolled down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry sir. I didn't know it would hurt you this way"Maya found herself apologizing even when she knew it wasn't her fault.

"Why are you apologising. It's me who's ill-fated.

The woman I loved more than anything died before my eyes and I couldn't do anything to save her. I managed to live in her memory for many years and now that I had decided to move on, you and your father stepped in and killed my fiance once again. What does your father want from me. I'm sure he did this deliberately because that's how he is. He'll never change."he was cursing behind the clenched teeth.

"He may be like that but I swear this time he didn't do it on purpose. He still has no idea how that accident happened. I was there, I saw everything so believe me when I say it was not deliberate."

It was like she was adding salt to his wounds because the way he barked at her was unheard of. It was scaring!

"What else could you say. He's your father after all. His blood runs through your veins and that's the reason I hate you so much as well."

Maya was hurt by his words for some reasons. "Why did you kiss me then."she asked in a disappointed tone.

How could he say such, that too after stealing her first kiss. How would she tell it to her friends.... that she lost her first kiss to someone who hates her like nothing!

"I hate you too."she added before breaking in tears.

"I'm sorry. I.... I..I don't know why but you've reminded me of my Leia. When I look at you her image appears in my mind and I can't stop myself. Sorry."he was shying away. He couldn't look her in the eyes anymore.

"Did you just say Leia?" She knew that name. It was her mother's.

"Yes. I'm taking about my love Leia who was your mother at the same time. It was your mother whom I loved like heaven itself but your father...."he couldn't bring himself to finish it since he was already crying like a little kid.

"He knows about my mom too!"Maya looked shocked. She couldn't believe what she just heard. She hoped she wasn't dreaming.

"Is this a dream or something. Why does it feel like I've broken all ties with reality." She was talking to herself.

"It's not a dream dear. I know everything about your late mom; her childhood, when she was a teenager,her marriage and death."

Talking much about her made Wolf shed lots of tears.

"Sir, can you please tell me what happened the night I was born."she was asking politely.

"I will tell you tomorrow."he promised.

Maya's plan to escape was put on hold. She couldn't leave the truth about her mom's death incomplete. She wanted to know it all so she stayed.

Although Wolf was so hostile towards her, he managed to get her a small blanket to cover herself with.

He couldn't risk so he slept very close to her. He thought she would run away which wasn't in Maya's mind anymore.

It was like a dream was waiting for Maya to fall asleep because the moment she was taken up by sleep, a woman's shadow appeared to warn her to stay away from her husband.

This left her shivering and couldn't stop herself from screaming.

Her screams were so loud that she interrupted Wolf's sleeping.

"What is it?"he asked before he noticed that she was sweating.

His eyes were glowing like a new torch.

"There's no one here."she finally spoke after wandering her eyes all around the place.

"What are you saying. Gosh, she's torturing me instead. I should be the one torturing her."

"A woman's shadow. She said I should stay away from her husband. I think she was referring to you."

(Laughing helplessly), " you're crazy Maya. It was just a dream and here you're sweating and... I don't believe it."

"I swear I'm not lying. It wasn't a dream."

"It's okay dear. If it really wasn't dream, you still don't need to worry. I'm here and no one will dare to harm you as long as you're with me."he assured.

Maya who was feeling insecure due to this man's presence, was shocked when she felt this man's arms around her waist.

"What are.... Please don't do this to me." She knew that maybe he was planning on taking advantage of her which wasn't the case. "I'm only protecting you. I think you felt scared and lonely and maybe that's why you had such a nightmare."

Maya too wished she could believe that it was just a dream but when she winked he eyes, she saw the woman's shadow on the wall.

"Nooo. It wasn't a dream sir. L.. look..."she said pointing at the wall but Wolf didn't see anything.

"Nothing's there. Stop imagining things and let me sleep please. I have a lot to deal with tomorrow."he yelled.

When Maya shut her eyes again, this time the shadow came so close to where they laid.

It was then when she realized that Wolf had crossed his legs around her.

Pushing him away she quickly stood up, "I'm very sorry madam. You see I don't have feelings for your husband."she said and strangely the shadow disappeared without saying anything.

This brought some relief in her but still, she seemed like a crazy girl before Wolf.

All she wanted then was to stay away from Wolf but how, when she still wanted to get her question answered.

Since Wolf wasn't sure of what was happening, all he did was staring at her while amazed.

He must've thought she was a little bit crazy when she really wasn't.

The situation was driving her crazy.

"Are you okay Maya?"

The fear she was feeling at the moment couldn't let her utter out a word. Nodding was all she could do.

Judging by the look on her face, Wolf could tell that something was really happening. She looked bothered which wasn't the case when he got her kidnapped. "How come she's scared of a mere dream. Did she possibly see the shadow. If yes, whose shadow was it?"

A lot of questions ran through Wolf's mind that he wasn't able to fall asleep.

Quickly he got up and walked slowly towards her. "Don't take another step. All this is happening because of you. Why did you bring me here in the first place."she was crying.

Wolf for some reasons was feeling uneasy seeing Maya cry like that.

Wait! Was he falling for her? He hoped not. All he wanted was to trouble her father and not finding love.

For some reasons he couldn't stop cursing himself for involving the innocent girl in all that. "I'm sorry Maya."he would apologise in his heart.

"Okay I'll not take another step but would you please listen to me? What was he going to say? Did he finally get to know the truth or?

Shifting her gaze onto him, their eyes locked.

She could see how worried and concerned he looked at the moment.

Her heart was telling her to listen to him whilst her mind was still recalling the Shadow's warning, "stay away from my husband." She quickly turned around.

"I know you can still hear me. Actually I was thinking if I could let you go because that's the only way I can help you."

That was what Maya had been praying for some time back but not anymore.

Now she wished she could stay.

"I can't go alone in this darkness."she said little did she know that Wolf had his magic.

Planting a kiss on his own hand, all his finger nails elongated.

"Is this how he's going to let me go...by devouring me?"she was both shocked and trembled after seeing his long nails.

"He's going to tears me into pieces. Oh Lord please save me from this."she prayed.

Seeing her seemingly scared expression, Wolf smiled before he pointed, "you look worried, what's the matter?"

"You're going to kill me."she said in a hestant tone.

"Oh! I didn't know you were a quick learner... hmmm, I'm impressed! Since when did you start reading people's minds?"he was teasing her.

Maya was so quick when answering his questions. It was making him smile since she was getting them all wrong.

Maya's heart was pounding so hard inside as she waited for her end.

Surprisingly Wolf used one of his long nails to unlock the rock which was at the end of the cave.

"You'll take this route to leave from here."he said pushing the rock to one side hence creating an entrance.

Maya could barely see anything since it was so dark outside. "He really wants to set me free. But this darkness!"she breathed.

It made no difference to her that she was going back home, instead she wished she could stay a little longer with this man.
