Rhy's POV

The past few days have been hell, a relentless storm tearing my life apart. My empire’s crumbling, feds crawling through my finances, investors pulling out after the warehouse fire, and Don Salvatore’s threats hanging over me like a guillotine. That video of me and Ciara, Lyra’s heartbroken voice telling me I’ll never see Finn again.

It’s all too much. I’m drowning in guilt, rage, and fear, and the worst part? I don’t know where Lyra and Finn are. She’s cut me off, vanished, and every call goes to voicemail. I’m losing my family, my legacy, everything, and I’m powerless to stop it. I'm confused and down; I don't really know what to do.

I sat in my office, my head in my hands, the weight of it all crushing me.

“Lyra, where are you?” I whispered.

My voice is breaking. I pictured Finn’s smile, his little hand in mine, and my chest ached. Likewise, I have failed them; let my pride and weakness destroy us. But I wasn’t done fighting. I had to find them and protect them from S

  • PREGNANT and REJECTED by the BILLIONAIRE    Chapter 64: A Clash of Hearts

Rhy's POV My heart pounded as I sped through the mountain roads, the coordinates Jake sent burning in my mind. Lyra and Finn were in a cave, running from Vince, from Salvatore’s men, and I was too far away. Guilt tore at me, my betrayal with Ciara, the video, the warehouse fires, all my fault. But worse, Chris was with them, playing hero to my family. Jealousy burned hotter than my fear, my hands shaking on the wheel. Lyra was mine, Finn was my son, and no one was taking them from me.“Hold on, Lyra,” I muttered, my voice raw, tears stinging my eyes. “I’m on my way.”I reached the clearing, my truck skidding to a stop. The cave loomed ahead, dark and jagged, and I grabbed my gun, my heart racing. Jake’s warning about Chris’s shady past, smuggling, maybe drugs fueled my distrust. He wasn’t the saint Lyra thought, and I Will prove it. I ran toward the cave, my boots crunching on gravel, my chest tight with rage and desperation. At the entrance, I saw him, Chris, his arm around Lyra,

Lyra's POV My heart shattered as I held Finn, his small body trembling, blood seeping through his shirt. The gunshot’s echo still rang in my ears, and I sobbed, my hands shaking as I ripped my jacket to press against his wound. “Finn, baby, stay with me,” I whispered, my voice breaking, tears streaming down my face. The woods around us were dark, the air cold, and every rustle felt like Vince or Salvatore’s men closing in. I couldn’t lose my son, not now, not ever.“Mommy, it hurts,” Finn whimpered, his eyes wide with fear, his small hand clutching mine.“I know, buddy,” I said, my voice trembling as I checked his arm. Relief hit me like a wave, the bullet had only grazed him, the wound shallow. “You’re gonna be okay,” I said, wrapping the cloth tight, my tears falling onto his cheek. “Mommy’s here.”Henry grabbed my arm, his voice urgent. “Lyra, we can’t stay here. Vince is out there. There’s a cave nearby, move!”I nodded, scooping Finn into my arms, my legs shaky but driven by pu

Ciara POV (Hours before meeting Rhys)My heart slammed against my ribs as I sped away from the motel, the image of that gun and the chilling note ‘You’re next, Ciara’ seared into my mind like a tornado. The bloody knife Mara had given me weighed heavy in my bag, a constant reminder of the mess I had made. I wanted Rhys to feel the pain of losing me, but helping Don Salvatore kidnap Finn, sending that video to Lyra, and setting fire to Rhys’s warehouse had spiraled out of control. Now Salvatore’s men were hunting me, and I was running, torn between guilt and terror. I had to find Lyra and Finn, had to warn them, even if it cost me everything.I pulled into a rundown apartment I’d used as a safehouse before, hidden in Miami’s grimy underbelly. My hands trembled as I locked the door, my breath coming in short, panicked gasps. The place was sparse, just a sagging couch, a scratched table, and my laptop, but it felt like a trap closing around me. I sank onto the couch, tears spilling dow

Rhy's POVMy heart pounded as I sped through Miami’s backroads, the mountains looming ahead, my hands gripping the steering wheel so tight my knuckles turned white. Jake’s call had confirmed Lyra and Finn were in a cabin up there, but the photo of them running, sent by Salvatore, burned in my mind. My family is in danger, and I was hours away, guilt and rage tearing me apart. I’d betrayed Lyra with Ciara, lost her trust, and now another man, Chris was rushing to save my woman and son. The thought made my blood boil, jealousy mixing with my fear.“Lyra, Finn, I’m coming,” I muttered, my voice raw, tears stinging my eyes. I’d messed up, but I’d die before letting Salvatore touch them. My phone buzzed, and I answered, my voice sharp. “Jake, tell me you’ve got more. Where are they exactly?”Jake’s voice was tense. “Cabin in the mountains, near a clearing. Coordinates are sent. But, Rhys, Chris is already headed there. He’s got a head start.”“Chris?” I roared, my chest tight with fury. “

  • PREGNANT and REJECTED by the BILLIONAIRE    Chapter 60: Ashes and Escape

Lyra's POV I coughed, choking on smoke, as I crawled through the wreckage of the safehouse, my arms tight around Finn. The explosion’s heat still burned my skin, debris cutting my hands as I dragged us forward. Finn’s screams pierced my heart, his small body trembling against me. “Mommy, it hurts!” he cried, his voice shrill with fear. My chest ached with terror, my mind racing, Vince, that scarred liar, had survived, and he is after us. I had to get Finn out, had to keep him safe.“Lyra, move!” Henry shouted, grabbing my arm, pulling us from the rubble. His face was smeared with ash, his rifle slung over his shoulder. “We’re not clear yet!”I stumbled to my feet, Finn clinging to me, his dinosaur toy lost in the chaos. “Where’s Vince?” I gasped, my voice shaking, tears streaming down my face. “He did this, didn’t he?”“No time!” Henry snapped, pushing us toward the woods. “Run, now!”My legs burned as we sprinted into the trees, branches clawing at my face. Finn’s sobs broke me, ea

  • PREGNANT and REJECTED by the BILLIONAIRE    Chapter 59: A Past Unearthed

Lyra's POV My heart pounded as I stared at the scarred man, Vince, his jagged scar triggering a memory I couldn’t grasp, a man standing over my parents’ wrecked car when I was a kid. Finn clung to me, his small body trembling, his dinosaur toy pressed to his chest. The safehouse felt like a trap, the locked door and Vince’s chilling words “I knew your parents” making my skin crawl with something I can't really explain. Henry stood tense, his rifle aimed at Vince, but I was frozen, my knife shaking in my hand, my mind reeling from shock and betrayal.“You’re lying!” I screamed, tears streaming down my face, my voice raw. “My parents died in a car crash! They had nothing to do with Salvatore!”Vince stepped closer, his eyes cold but steady. “That’s what you think, Lyra. Your parents crossed Don Salvatore years ago. They owed him money, big money, and they tried to run. That crash? It wasn’t an accident darling.”My knees buckled, and I clutched Finn, my heart breaking. “No,” I whisper
