Ciara's POV

The weight of Lyra's rejection pressed down on me like a stone in my chest. I sat in the corner of the safehouse, watching her examine the photograph with Chris and Rhys, feeling like an outsider looking through glass. Every time she glanced my way, I saw the same thing, distrust, anger, the memory of what I had done to Finn.

I deserved it. I knew that. But it didn't make the isolation hurt any less.

My phone buzzed softly. Another intercepted message from the second traitor's signal. I'd been monitoring their communications since the church threat, hoping to find something useful. This time, the message made my blood run cold.

*Package secured in vault. Timer set. Target arrives, everything ends.*

The bomb wasn't at the church. It was in the vault they were talking about, the same vault Chris had just figured out from the photograph. The second traitor was using Lyra's parents' secret as bait, and they were walking right into it.
