RUN, BELLA!!!

“LET GO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WHO ORDERED YOU TO DO THIS?!” The luxurious residence echoed with the screams that could be heard.

Bella, who had previously fallen asleep, immediately opened her eyes and sat up straight. She got out of bed and immediately ran to the source of the sound. Find out what happened.

“Father! Why did you bring him? No! Let my father go!” said Irish, her half-sister.

Two police officers forcibly took his stepfather. Bella immediately ran towards her mother.

“Mother, what happened?!” Bella asked with a panicked face because the morning had been filled with this commotion.

“Why was father taken by force by police officers?!” Bella asked her mother, but her mother just remained silent.

Bella approached the officer. “Officer, on what charges are you bringing my father?” Bella asked politely.

The officer was about to answer, but before his mouth said, someone came.

“Fraud, embezzlement of company money which is detrimental to many parties, including my company, which invested a lot of shares in its company. This man has committed many violations. I reported it.” Calmly and smoothly, the man answered all of Arabella’s questions.

Bella looked at the person who said that. She was surprised. Her mouth was speechless. It had been a long time since she saw that man. The figure of a dashing, mature man. Bella was stunned for a moment before she finally realized that this was not the time to be stunned.

“Uncle?”

Jullius. The man just stared at Bella flatly, then his gaze turned to the police officer.

“Bring him,” he said calmly, but the look in his eyes implied that he didn’t want to be contradicted.

“NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! YOU CAN’T DO ANYTHING TO ME LIKE THAT!” shouted his stepfather.

“Mother, why are you just remaining silent?!” Bella asked.

“Your husband.”

Her mother instead lowered her head. Doesn’t seem to know what to do.

“Come on, sir,” said one of the police officers. However, Bella’s stepfather continued to rebel, so there was nothing other than force.

“NO! I’M NOT THE WRONG ONE HERE!“

Bella tries to help her father. She even went to the police station to appeal, but apparently, the accusations made by her uncle against her father were true. Her stepfather was proven guilty of a corruption case which caused losses to many parties and received a prison sentence.

Bella felt hopeless now. The woman came home with a gloomy face. In just one day, a lot has changed. Bella entered the house. Her uncle’s figure was still in the house. He was facing her mother. Don’t know what they are talking about. Bella ran towards her uncle. She couldn’t bear to see her mother’s gloomy face. Swollen eye bags. Her mother must have been very sad because her husband is in prison.

“Uncle.” Bella blocked her uncle’s steps. The man still looked at her with a flat gaze. Bella held his hand. Jullius was quite surprised by what Bella did. But he was silent, letting Bella speak.

“Please, free my father. He is the backbone of the family. If my father is jailed, then our family will suffer a lot,” said Bella. She was already anxious. She was very sure that Jullius would agree to her request. Because even though they weren’t close, Bella knew that Jullius was her good uncle. Bella admired Jullius since childhood.

But her hopes just disappeared when those lips spoke. “No.” In a very cold tone.

“Get out of the way. That’s none of my business,” said the man in the coldest tone Bella had ever heard.

Bella’s body froze. Jullius pushed Bella away from him and continued walking. Bella could still hear the man’s footsteps until, finally, the man left.

Her mother approached. “Bella.”

Bella looked at her mother. She took a very deep breath. She didn’t expect that her uncle was so evil. Why did she imprison his father? How big was the impact of her father’s corruption on her uncle’s mega-company?

Jullius is the only heir who holds Maverick Group. It was a company that was supposed to be led by her father. Her biological father. It’s a shame that her biological father died a long time ago due to suicide. Leaving her with her mother with all the remaining sorrow.

Maverick Group is a mega company that monopolizes the trade market in Europe. The company is very famous and feared. But what is Jullius’ aim and purpose in imprisoning his father on charges of corruption which she is sure will not have even the slightest impact on the mega company her uncle leads? Her stepfather’s company was just a small company. Even if Jullius loses from the corruption carried out by her stepfather, it will be very, very small!

Bella clenched her fists. “What a greedy man! Even though he knows father is our only hope! But he just arbitrarily imprisoned him!” said Bella.

Bella hugged her mother. “Mother, you don’t need to worry. I will free Father,” said Bella while stroking her mother’s back, trying to calm her mother down.

The next day, Bella came to her stepfather’s company to discuss the commotion that had occurred and what should be done to overcome the losses. But when she arrived at the company, something shocked her.

Again, she saw her uncle. Her hands clenched into fists again. What is that guy doing here? The man even appeared himself without having to send a representative. Was it that important to come here? Even though this man is famous for his busy life.

Bella walked quickly. She became even more furious when she saw Jullius shaking hands with one of the top officials who had an important position in her stepfather’s company. Have they got a deal?

Bella could hear glimpses of the conversation.

“It’s a pleasure to be under your wing, sir. It’s truly an honor.”

Jullius just nodded his head in response. See? That guy is stingy with smiles! This fact made her dislike for the man even greater.

“What are you doing here?” Bella asked Jullius straight to the point. Her body, which was clearly much shorter than Jullius’s, made Bella look like a child next to the man.

All eyes turned towards them. Some individuals would be aware that she was the daughter of their boss, and typically they would show her great respect. But this time not at all. They just kept quiet. They even glanced at Jullius in fear, as if Jullius was their boss.

Jullius just looked at Bella, then left. Don’t want to explain anything at all.

“YOU—” Bella wanted to get angry, but she thought better of it. There’s no point in getting angry with someone like Jullius. It’s better to return to her intentions. She faced several important people in the company. Bella smiled.

“You certainly know why I came here,” said Bella. Even though she is still very young, Bella is very smart and has learned about how a company works. She is very confident that she can overcome the problems that occur. But what happened was…

“Miss, sorry, but this company has been acquired by Mr. __. And this company has fallen into his hands.”

“What?” Bella didn’t know how to respond.

“But… how is that possible? He-“

“Your father has even agreed and signed it.”

Bella didn’t know who the man was. But the man looked at her with a hungry gaze. The man even grinned at her.

“My beautiful Bella,” he said.

“NO! BELLA! HURRY! RUN!!”
