Chapter 27

A few days have passed since the day they were sent and assigned to aid the people outside. They came back without getting injured, and fortunately, they didn't encounter a vampire or a rogue on their way.

Aesthelia has been continuously going back and forth from Rasc's residence to the pack house with only one goal in mind. She continued to pursue the high-ranking wolves in order to assess how they would deal with the enemy once they returned.

"No, don't concern yourself any further, Aesthelia. It's a no, "an elder said. The elderly man greeted Aesthelia with a sour face.

Aesthelia pursed her lips tighter at the strong refusal from someone she expected would listen. They were supposed to be listening. 

Aesthelia felt like she was being treated like a child and an outsider by the elders. All she wanted was to take precautions and make advancements in terms of battling the vampires. 

"I am confused," Aesthelia whispered
