Parents' Confession
Daisy and James urged them to sit down while Christopher looked at Palmer as she squeezed his hand with a smile. As soon as they did, James leaned forward. Daisy, out of instinct, put her hands on his shoulders, trying to keep him from lashing out at them.
He looked down at the table with his arms crossed on it, not saying a word, but after a moment of silence, he spoke.
“Do you realize this has consequences? You two are so young and inexperienced. What were you guys thinking?” He asked, upset.
“Dad, please. I’m so sorry,” Palmer sobbed on Christopher’s shoulder.
