LOGIN“We should probably clean up eventually, but right now I don’t want to move. I want to stay like this forever,” Oliver murmured against her auburn hair. “Me too,” Harper muttered, her head resting against his chest as she catches her breath. Oliver’s arms tightened around her possessively, one hand coming up to gently stroke through her auburn hair. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her ear was incredibly soothing, a stark contrast to the frantic pace it had been just moments before. “Good, because I am not letting you go anywhere tonight. You are staying here with me,” he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head. His fingers continued their gentle ministrations, tracing idle patterns along her back as he savored the feeling of having her in his arms. The weight of her body against his was a comforting anchor in the quiet aftermath of their passion. “You know,” Oliver began thoughtfully, his voice taking on a more serious tone. “This changes things between us. Professionally and personally.”
Harper takes a deep breath and without looking up at him says, “Yeah, we should probably discuss that. What does this mean for us?” Oliver sighed heavily, his hands pausing their movements temporarily as he considered how to approach this delicate conversation. Rolling onto his side to face her more directly, he propped himself up on one elbow while keeping her close against his chest. “It means I can’t keep pretending I am just your boss anymore,” he stated bluntly. “Seeing you every day at work knowing what we just shared… it will kill me.” His fingers tucked a strand of auburn hair behind her ear tenderly, studying her expression in the dim light. “I want more than stolen moments in my office or late-night visits to my penthouse. I want to take you out properly– dinner dates, weekend getaways, introducing you to my friends…” The vulnerability in his voice was surprising given his usually reserved demeanor. “But if we do this, if we make this real– there are complications. People at work will talk. My board might question my judgement.”
Harper considers his words. She was no stranger to rumors or feelings left out of social circles. “So, maybe we should take the appropriate steps. Report out relationship to HR, sign one of those consensual relationship agreements.” Oliver’s expression softened at her practical suggestion, a hint of admiration flashing in his icy blue eyes. “You are thinking clearly even after everything that has happened today,” he said with a low chuckle, his arms tightening around her. “Of course, we should cover all our bases. I will handle the HR paperwork myself tomorrow morning.” He shifted slightly. “It is not just about work policies. This affects both our lives beyond the office,” he continued thoughtfully. His thumb brushes across her cheek affectionately. “Are you prepared for what people will say? Colleagues, friends… possible ever your family?” His gaze searched hers intensely, needing to know if she was truly ready for the implications of dating someone as high-profile as him and someone as old as him.
“I don’t mind what other people think and my family won’t be an issue. Last summer my mom tried to set me up with her palate’s coach, who is ten years older than me and lives in his car. Honestly, I think they will be fine with me dating any man at this point. Their worst nightmare is me dating a woman,” Harper says casually. Oliver lets out a short, genuine laugh at her casual mention of her family’s reaction. “Well, that makes things easier then. I was expecting to have to convince them I am not some predatory older man taking advantage of you.” His tension visibly eased as he processed her words. “So, we are agreed– we tell HR tomorrow and start figuring out how to handle things at work. No more sneaking around.” He shifted to sit up slightly, reaching for the bedside table drawer. Pulling out a box of tissues. He gently starts cleaning Harper and his own body with the tissues, tossing them aside when he is done. “Speaking of which,” Oliver began, his tone becoming more serious but still affectionate. “How do you want to handle seeing each other outside the office? I don’t want to make you feel like you are just my… we, my secretary.” His icy blue eyes met hers directly in the dim light filtering through the windows.
“You never make me feel like that. Just keep acting the way you have been. That is what I like about you,” Harper says casually and softly kiss him on the lips. Oliver’s icy blue eyes softened completely at her words, the casual affection in her voice melting away any remaining tension from their discussion about work complications. He caught her lips in a deeper kiss, pouring all the relief and tenderness he felt into the embrace. “Just like that then. Keep being my feisty secretary who does not give a damn what anyone thinks,” he murmured against her mouth, his hands coming up to cup her face gently. He pulled back slightly, studying her face with a warmth that made his usually cold featured look almost boyish. “You have no idea how much I have wanted to hear you say that. That I am not just some creepy boss taking advantage of his employee.” His thumb brushed across her bottom lip affectionately. “So, we are official now? Beyond just this bedroom? Because I want to take you out properly– dinner at that new place downtown next Friday night.”
“Sure,” Harper says with a bright smile. “Just for the record that means no fooling around at the office at all, right?” she asks curiously. Oliver’s expression turned instantly serious, his hand coming up to cup her cheek with a firmness that left no room for doubt. “Absolutely not. Not a chance.” His voice dropped lower, becoming more intense. “What happened today stays here– in my bedroom, behind closed doors. During office hours, you are my secretary, and I am your CEO. Period.” He leaned in closer, his icy blue eyes boring into her with unwavering resolve. “I won’t risk either of our careers by letting things get out of hand at work. That means no touching, no flirting, and definitely no more private meetings in my office unless it is strictly business.” His thumb brushed across her lower lip possessively. “Our relationship starts and ends when we leave the building each evening. Understood?” he asks sternly.
“I am yours,” she said softly. “I promise. No more gifts from anyone. I am sure you will make it worth my while.” Oliver’s entire body visibly relaxed at her complete surrender, the possessive tension melting into pure adoration. A slow, predatory smile spread across his face as he processed the weight of her promise. “Good girl,” he praised thickly, his voice dripping with satisfaction. “You have no idea how long I have wanted to hear you say that.” His hands moved from her back to slide up alone her ribcage until they cupped both breasts firmly through the red laced bra. Thumbs circled her nipples slowly while his lips returned to assault hers hungrily. “You will never regret choosing me,” he vowed against her mouth between kisses. “I will buy you everything you want– jewelry, designer clothes, whatever makes you feel like the queen you are.” The possessive promises flowed freely now that boundarie
“It is adorable how impatient you get,” Harper said with a bright smile. “Most me don’t put in the work like that.” Oliver’s expression softened completely at her compliment, a rare blush colouring his cheeks. “Impatience is my biggest flaw when it comes to you,” he admitted gruffly, lowering himself fully onto the mattress beside her. His large hands framed either side of her head as he propped himself up on his elbows, studying her face with an intensity that bordered on reverence. “Most men don’t know what they are missing,” he continued quietly. “They want easy conquests or women who play games. You are different.” His thumb brushed along her jawline tenderly. “You make me work for it and I fucking love every second of earning your attention.” The confession hung in the air between them, vulnerability exposed beneath layers of CEO confidence and possessiveness.“Good,” Ha
“Says my boss,” Harper says seriously and drains the water in the sink. “I have to catch up your new secretary on your schedule and then settle in at my new desk.” She wiped her hands dry with the dish cloth hanging on the hook. Then she easily puts away the clean dried dished before going to sit down beside Oliver at the dining table. He watched her sit down beside him, his expression shifting from playful to thoughtful as he considered her practical proposal. “How about you leave early tomorrow morning, it is no big deal if the boss is late. And tomorrow afternoon I will bring some clothes over to your place,” she says practically. Taking a bite of his pizza slice, Oliver chewed slowly while processing her plan. “Alright, alright,” he conceded with a reluctant nod. “Early departure it is. But only because you are being sensible and I can’t argue with your logic.” He pointed his pizza slice at her accusingly. “Don’t think this makes you less tempting though. Knowing I have to leave
“Subtle, huh?” Oliver murmured against her mouth. “I like that. Means I will have to work harder to keep up with my girlfriend’s sneaky possessiveness.” His tongue traced the seam of her lips before sliding inside to taste her more thoroughly. The wall at her back became an anchor as he pressed her against it, letting her feel exactly how much he had been anticipating this moment all day. When he finally pulled back for air, Oliver rested his forehead against hers while his breathing remained ragged. “The pizza will arrive soon,” Harper protested weakly. “And it is my turn to do the dishes.” Oliver groaned dramatically at the reminder of real-word responsibilities, setting her back down on her feet reluctantly. “Pizza can wait. Dished can definitely wait.” He checked his watch quickly before shaking his head dismissively. “Driver knows out address. He will leave it at the door if we don’t answer.” His hands framed her face again, thumbs brushing along her cheekbones as he studied ev
“Which floor are we climbing to? Better hope it’s not the fifth floor or I might have to carry you up there.” His tone was teasing but his grip on her waist indicated he wouldn’t hesitate to follow through on the threat if needed. “The third floor,” Harper said with a soft smile. “And there is no need to carry me. I am very fit considering I have been going up and down these stairs for six months now.” Oliver’s eyebrows shot up in impressed surprise. “Third floor and you have been doing this for six months? Damn, I am starting to think my gym membership is useless compared to your natural stamina.” His hand squeezed her hip approvingly as they started up the first flight of stairs. the sound of their footsteps echoed in the stairwell, creating a sense of privacy despite being in a public building. “Good to know you are not one of those girls who expects me to sweep her off her feet literally,” he added with a dry chuckle. “Though I wouldn’t complain about having an excuse to hold yo
“It was my first week, he asked me out for a drink and… and we had a one-night stand,” Harper said bluntly and then she held her breath waiting for Oliver’s reaction. His entire body went rigid, the protective hand on her thigh tensed instinctively. For a long moment, he said nothing, simple staring at her with an unreadable expression as the city lights streamed past outside the car window. The silence stretched between them, heavy with unspoken emotion. Finally, he let out a short humourless laugh that held no warmth whatsoever. “So, while I was busy think you were this innocent little thing straight out of college, you were sleeping with one of my junior executives.” His voice was dangerously calm, each word carefully measured. The driver up front seemed oblivious to the storm brewing in the backseat. “And how many times since then?” he asked quietly, turning his head to look out at the passing traffic. “Has he been bothering you? Making passes at work? Because if he has–“ He sto
