“I don’t want to speak to you Festus..how many times must I tell you that?!” I yelled, pressing my back against the door.

“Please..just let me talk to you” he pleaded

“You know how it turned out the last time you tried to talk to me, why cant you give it a rest?” I asked, then looking up at the wall clock that hung above the closet, Julian would be home soon.

“Besides, my husband will be back any minute and if he sees you there he’ll definitely give you a matching black eye” I added.

“I know, but it’s worth the risk, please Amelia, let’s talk” he said again, this time without the hard banging on the door.

I couldn’t understand why but I felt drawn to what the truth could be, from what I had experienced today at his office, it definitely shows that he’s hiding something, something dark.

‘Do I really just let him talk to me? I mean it won’t make any difference’ I thought to myself as I paced back and forth in the room.

Julian’s POV“Thank you Brigs” I said to my chauffeur, handing him the keys as he lightly nodded, acknowledging my appreciation as I got down from the car, I’m used to driving to work on my own but I always thanked Brigs cause he’s one of the only staff that stayed after father’s death.“Why do you want to talk to her so badly?” I heard from inside the house. ‘That seems to me like Maria’s voice’ I thought as I took off my coat.“I have to make her talk to me, that is, if you want what I want” Festus answered.I walked into the house without their noitice as they seemed to be in the living room, completely trying to ignore them.“What will you get from speaking to her?” She asked“I’ll get to tell her the truth about him” he answered.“What truth?” I asked, folding up my sleeves.“The truth of how you’re a murderer!” He answered, his eyes were bold.“I didn’t kill him” I said reluctantly

  • Passionate Hate   Chapter 29: FEUDS

Chapter 29“You can put me down now” I said the moment he stepped into our room.“Are you always this stubborn?” He asked softly, his lips curled into a smile.“I’m not stubborn, you just keep doing things in your own accord” I answered, sitting at the edge of the bed, trying to remove the horrendous shoes on my feet.“Ouch..” I hissed for the pain as I reached down for my ankle.“What happened? Are you okay” Julian said, rushing to my side. There was a bruise on my ankles, my skin had been smeared to the side. For someone who hadn’t worn heels in forever, these seemed like a plausible event and then again the shoes must’ve been smaller than my feet hence the blisters and bruises.Taking my finger, I cleaned off the smeared blood from the side of my feet.“Take it easy” he said, holding up my feet in his hand.“It’s fine..if you can get me a bandaid I’ll be fine” I said immediately, trying to

  • Passionate Hate   Chapter 28: I’m never helpless

Chapter 28Amelia’s POVMy wrist had begun to hurt and worse, my feet couldn’t take it any longer, Julian kept pulling me through the darkness and even when the lights came on I had to try to keep up with him.“Ow!” I exclaimed again as the stinging pain in my feet had grown worse, the bracelets on my wrist sinking into my flesh.“I can’t leave you like this!” He said calmly, crouching down.“I’m sorry for dragging you so roughly but we can’t have the reporters see your face, remember” he said, stretching out his hand for me.I stared at him with anger, although he was right, if I were to be exposed what would happen to me at school, everyone would come to know about our relationship and from what I’ve observed so far, I would be the one in a bind.“Thank you but I can walk on my own” I said angrily, instilling my pride and anger, this is a contract, I’m no slave or doll that he can drag around and do whatever he likes with.

  • Passionate Hate   I hurt someone, again

Julian’s POVHer face seemed pale, “I hate the dark..and I don’t know what’s in there” she said in a faint tone “Trust me..you’ll be fine” I said, holding onto her gently.I was sure she wanted nothing to do with the darkness, I mean, I hated the dark once before but the moment I accepted it, I knew it was for the best.I came to become one with the darkness after years of being scared of it, it all happened twenty years ago,****“You have to accept that I’m your new mother..” Maria said as she cupped my face in her hand, her smile widening, I was too young to notice, only after she brought in Festus did I realize that indeed, only a mother can raise her own.“I’ve told you countless times not to play with my son..I don’t want him infected with you!” She yelled, yanking my toy away from me as she pulled onto her son Those were my toys and my room, yet, I was scolded for letting him play with me.I wa

  • Passionate Hate   Chapter 26: Julian’s Darkness

Amelia’s POVAs I sat on the couch in the office at JC Industries, I tried to maintain a neutral expression. Julian leaned in close, his hands resting on the armrests, his eyes locked on mine. I felt a flutter in my chest, but I pushed it down, reminding myself why I was here.‘This was a contract marriage, nothing more. I need the money for my mother's hospital bills, and Julian needed his father's inheritance, It is a simple transaction, one that doesn’t involve feelings’ I thought to myself as I eased my heavy breathingBut as Julian's gaze held mine, I felt a spark of attraction that I couldn't ignore. I mentally scolded myself, reminding myself that I couldn't afford to fall for him. He was my professor, and this was a business arrangement.I focused on the cold, hard facts. Julian was using me to get what he wanted, and I was using him for the same reason. There is no room for emotions in this deal.I kept my face impassive, refusin
