Right as we were about to go back into the house, Brax stopped, stopping me with him. "We don't have to stay here if you don't want to," he said.

"I can't leave Nat here alone"

"Kasey and Dillion will look after her, and when she is ready to leave, they will let me know, and I'll take you both home".

I stood there silently, torn between what to do. If I left and something happened to Nat, I would never forgive myself, but I didn't want to spend any more time at the party.

"I promise we won't be far," he said softly. "And Kasey and Dillion are more than capable of looking after her."

staring into his dark green eyes, I nodded. Something inside of me wanted to be alone with him. He made me feel safe. brax led me towards his car, opening the door for me before getting in himself without a word. He started the car and pulled out of the driveway, driving only ten minutes down the road. He pulled up and got out of the car I did the same.
