A Lie
The Mermaid slid open the clothes’ wardrobe and hid in it as soon as she heard the door to the walk-in closet open. She peeked through the opening only to find the same guy from last night, standing in front of another wardrobe right next to hers, almost nude! He was only wrapped in the lower area with a white towel.
But she could not tear her eyes away from him. It was not his staunch body or bulging muscles which were forcing her to watch him.
The scars on his back had kept her eyes locked on him. There were not one or two scars but many on his back which looked as if they had been fading over time. Her reveries broke when he moved again.
