Mich's POV

The expression on Sammy's face told me he was about to say something sweet. What I didn't understand was why he was stalling.

"Say it, bro. The clock is ticking. You gotta return to the office, remember."

He sighed deeply. “Fine. I'll be really honest, Mich. She dislikes your guts.”

I suddenly felt like cold water had been poured on my head. This was embarrassing. I swallowed hard. "You can go."

“Your wound. I was supposed to treat it."

“Don't worry. Just get out."

He giggled as

  • Personal Assistant to my Bully CEO    Chapter 111 - Something New

Bonnie's POV The next day, I went to the office happily for the first time ever. Dean surprised me the previous night when he explained to my mum and Dalia that he went for an audition, after he was asked.Ha! So it was a good thing I had said nothing. The office was still bare when I came in. I was early. It was just 7:30am. My date with Mich was cancelled the previous evening. He had called to apologize that he couldn't make it.Of course, I was relieved. I wasn't sure I wanted to start going out with him yet. Not now my feelings were just hanging on a line.I went through the schedules and tried to sort things in order. Why did it feel like I had been out of the office forever? When it was a few minutes to eight, I thought I heard some noise from Ruki's office. Was she back? I decided to apologize to her for yesterday, whether or not she was willing to listen.I was, however, surprised when I stepped out. It wasn't Ruki. Gia?“Hello, Bonnie. You look good today.” She flashed a ver

  • Personal Assistant to my Bully CEO    Chapter 110 - Different Vibes

Bonnie's POV When I returned home, I was exhausted. I had bought some cooking supplies even though I knew we may not be doing a lot of cooking. I had also gotten some nice wall decors and a cheap fancy clock."When next I'm coming, I'll bring along some spare curtains we dumped in the attic.” Lucas said, helping me unpack. “They're still new and it's a pity they're just lying useless there. And a few other stuff.”I gave him a grateful smile. “Thank you, Lucas. But be sure it's not something you guys would really need tomorrow, or what your dad may find missing." “Nah… Don't worry about that.”In this life, indeed our lives are influenced by our circle. Being with Shirley and the girls landed me in a club once, and easy jobs at different bars.Being with Mich landed me in dinner parties I never imagined ever walking into. And being with Lucas? He was still helping me unpack and fix a few things when his bodyguard came. “Thanks, Bonnie. You saved my life." His smile was cute.No. Yo

  • Personal Assistant to my Bully CEO    Chapter 109 - Unbelievable

Bonnie's POV The look I gave Lucas told me he knew I was aware he was lying. So when the elevator stopped, I waited for my mum and Dalia to step out first.“What are we doing here, Bonnie?" Dalia asked as she stepped out.But I didn't pay any attention to her yet. "Dean didn't leave his laptop.” I didn't want to mention that he didn't even own one. “I'm sorry, I lied.” He admitted. "But can I hang around your place for a little while? There are some wild girls in the gym who won't let me breathe. My driver and bodyguard should be on their way.’I smiled in understanding. "Oh. Sorry about that.” I felt guilty for feeling he had bad intentions.I led them to the front door, heart racing. I wasn't sure of the condition I left the place in the morning with Dean. We were in so much of a hurry that I had barely bothered. “I can't believe you got a spot on the rooftop with a beautiful panoramic view!" Dalia squealed.I managed a smile, hoping her excitement wouldn't give this kid hints ab

  • Personal Assistant to my Bully CEO    Chapter 108 - Facts and Lies

Mich's POV When I looked down at. the text, it was a message from the director of Phinny's Choice. She had cancelled the meeting. On one hand, I was happy, because I had just been thinking of postponing it. But on the other hand, I wondered what her reason for could be. Probably because of the incident from the weekend? Was she withdrawing?Bonnie hurriedly picked up her call. “Mum?" A moment passed."I'm so sorry, mum. We woke up late. I just arrived at work. I'll text you an address now.”The address to the dilapidated building? Was that where her mum was headed or elsewhere?"Of course. There's no problem.” She hung up and dialed another number. "Call the super. He needs to let the receptionist give mum and Dalia access.”The super? Mum and Dalia? Was Dalia her sister? Her family was coming over? But that rotten building has no super, and no one cares who goes in or out."Are you kidding me?” she exclaimed after a moment, then hung up with a sigh, looking miserable. I resisted t

Mich's POV When we returned home, it was to meet an unexpected surprise.Declan.Shit.He was sitting in the living room, cross-legged, enjoying a live show on TV with a tall glass of juice and a bag of chips.“The fact that he's around doesn't mean we can't take the kids out, right?” Sammy whispered as we took off our shoes at the threshold.I shook my head. “No, it doesn't. But a lot of things are definitely going to grow missing. Beginning from my room." Sammy sighed.“Will you take them?" I asked hopefully. He snickered. “Alone? No way." Declan cleared his throat. "What made me think it was only ladies who gossip?”I scoffed and turned back to Sammy. "I wonder what he's here for. I hope he leaves as soon as possible.” I strolled into the living room. "Why are you here, Deck? Haven't you found a buyer yet for your precious photos?’“Have you forgotten you need to be at a court hearing tomorrow, back in Santa Barbara?” Declan eyed me, taking a sip of his drink. My heart sank as

Mich's POV “Instead of taking the trouble to her place, I could just go scout it out for you." Sammy suggested.I shook my head. “No. I’ve made up my mind." Bonnie and Dean sat still for a moment, waiting for Reed, before Dean spoke up. His voice wasn't loud, but loud enough for me to strain my ears and listen.“Hey, Bee. Instead of sitting around idly to bore out our brains, why don't we try something?" She shook her head. “No, thank you. I don't have running shoes on, and I don't think I want to get sweaty." "I think you're actually getting fat. You need to burn out some stomach fat. Don't worry, you won't get sweaty.” I felt a surge of jealousy at his whining and wished I could take a closer look at her. Is it true? Was she really getting fat?She threw a light punch on Dean's stomach. "How dare you?” Dean was persuasive and soon, they were playing like me and Sammy, but theirs was a more serious play because they did stomach pushups.I couldn't stop wishing we were the ones

"Bonita Helmes. You're up next." I blew air into my cheeks when I heard my name. This was my tenth interview in two weeks. Yuup. One interview per day. This time, unlike other interviews, it was being conducted by the CEO himself, because it was for the position of a personal assistant.A posit

So what? Was he a god or a king that couldn't be yelled at? “You have no right to call me names or judge me!" He nodded, clicking his tongue. “Minus two dollars. You have no right to call me Mich." We held each other's gaze as usual. “So get back to work or get out." Was he really going to pay m

The gown and heels were gone when I finally awoke to my blaring alarm by 6am. Next to me was Shirley, and on the other bed were Mirabel and Arella. I remembered Shirley's warning for me not to leave it there. No doubt Mirabel and Arella must have taken it. But then, it wasn't impossible for the

Kwinnie?Mich’s ex-girlfriend from high school? And why was she staring at me?She was on heavy makeup, and in a glittery strapless mini gown that clung tightly to her skin, outlining her curves. She was still as pretty as I recall, no doubt. She approached me, looking worried.“Please, can you he
