Chapter 62Hours had gone by and Gael still held Phoenix tightly against him letting her let go of the sorrow in her heart. At one point, he mindlinked everyone, Doc Simmons, his parents, her parents, Lance and Sonya. He needed all hands on deck because he felt that Phoenix was ready to bolt from him.He held her with force because she kept wailing and trying to slip away from him. It was at that very moment that he really felt the loss of Ronan within him. This is something that Ronan would’ve handled beautifully. He had a way with Phoenix that always kept her at ease and feeling loved.The grief and desolation he felt in his heart for Ronan right now was intense and if it wasn’t for him holding Phoenix he may have fled himself.
