PITD 30: Thanksgiving - The Bay
"Yeah, I promised I would bring you here and I keep my promises." He winked at her and got out of the vehicle, Leigh jumping out right after him.
"I can't see the waters though, there is just...land."
The area was covered with wet grass and rolling land jutting out different trees and plants.
"Come on," Willis grabbed her hand, gently pulling her along the trees until a tiny part opened up. It was hidden between two small trees that anyone not looking well enough would not have found it. The path looked like it had not been trodden in a while and Leigh wondered at that.
"Is it not a commercial Bay? How come it has a narrow path that looks like it is rarely ever used?" Leigh inquired.
"Because," Willis drawled, taking his time to answer. "This is a path known only to the locals. It leads to a more quiet part of the Bay, away from the docks and boats."

The loud shrill of the alarm pulled Leigh out of sleep. "Mom," she mumbled sleepily from beneath the covers, "put off your alarm!" The shrill went off again, louder than before. "Mom!" Thea was late.As usual. It didn’t surprise Leigh anymore that her best friend had the innate ability to be late at all times. She was supposed to be here since two hours ago, so they could settle in, gist and have girl talk before they went to Creamys for the After Finals Celebration as Willis had later termed it when he had called her with the final details. By the time they eventually made it inside, prom was well under way. The large assembly hall had been redecorated into a fancy dance hall for the prom. There were banners, confetti, posters and decorative pieces everywhere. Bright lights flooded the room from hanging tiny bulbs that splayed different colours and made the hall look like something out of a fairytale. About a dozen bouquets of flowers of gumdrop pink and cheery yellow were scattered carefully along the raised podium where an elaborate banner read Saints Academy Senior Prom!
