CHAPTER 5

This guy continued driving and I didn't bother to stop him from what he's planning. I will let his conscience kill him if he does something bad to me.

Minutes of driving, I just realized that he turned on the left road and we passed by in a subdivision and minutes later, a large house appeared in front of us... that kind of a literal big house.

The gate automatically opened then he parked his car at the garage and one of their maids approached us.

"Good evening Sir Axis," an old woman greeted this guy beside me and he just nodded.

"Good evening too Ma'am," she greeted me too when she noticed me and gave me a sweet smile.

"Good evening," I politely answered back. I do have some respect too. I'm just really rude when it comes to Aishi. Oh well, let's include this Axis as well.

I looked at him when he walked inside the big house. He didn't even wait for me. Tss. What am I expecting from a guy like him?

"My God, Axis! Why didn't you tell us that you're already engaged? I really can't understand you, son!" someone shouted inside and I guess it was her Mom.

"I told you Mom, I am not engaged!" he insisted and the irritation was visible in his tone.

"Don't fool us. Your name was all over the news," his mother also insisted. They were still arguing when I finally entered their house.

"You should have informed us for at least we knew that our son was already engaged! My God, son! I hope you—" his mom stopped from speaking when she noticed me. "Oh hija, come in. You are?"

Even though I was a bit shy, I smiled at her.

"I'm Yasha Reese Heuson, Ma'am." I answered.

"Yasha?" She was stunned for awhile and seemed like she's thinking about something and then suddenly, a big smile was plastered on her face. "Oh, it was you! My soon to be daughter-in-law, right?" She asked, walked near me and she even hugged me. I stood there like a statue because of what she did. And if only I had some foods in my mouth, I might have choked.

"Mom!" Axis stopped her.

"Stop shouting, Axis. Your fiancee was here," his mother warned him then she turned to me again. "You know what, I really can't believe that I am going to have such a beautiful daughter-in-law like you!" she exclaimed happily.

I cleared my throat. This is way more awkward than what I thought.

"Ahm, I am not your son's fiancee, Ma'am." I corrected but instead of believing in me, she just laughed at what I said.

"Oh, my poor children! You don't have to hide the truth from us. Look at this, I am already reading the articles about the two of you, so there's no point of hiding it to us," his mother explained as she pointed us the phone she was holding and then she smiled. I guess she already knew the fake news. Why news can spread easily like a wildfire?

"I am Axis' mother. It's nice meeting you hija. Call me Aunt Ally, okay?" I just sighed and smiled sparingly.

"It's nice meeting you too Aunt Ally, but I am not Axis' fiancee. Actually, it was the first time we met each other and to be honest, we don't know each—"

"Oh, hija. Even though you keep your relationship a secret from us, it's really okay. No worries. We do understand you both. You know, 21st century and millennial generation," Aunt Ally winks at me then she faced Axis. "Stay with your fiancee for the mean time, I am gonna prepare some foods, okay?" I can't do anything but to nod and I ended up flashing a fake smile on her.

When Axis' mother left, I gave him a death look.

"You idiot, why did you let your mother believe that I am your fiancee and you're my fiance, huh?" I can't help but to blame him. If he helped me to explain what's the real truth, I would not be having such a hard time here.

"You won't win from her anyway, you'll just waste your saliva," he replied. He heave a sigh and he sat lazily on the couch.

Damn it! I really want to punch him right now!

I also sat down and stared at Axis' direction, it's as if I'm killing him in my mind now.

Her Mom, Tita Ally was so caring. He even serves me. It's as if she's so excited to have a daughter-in-law. But geez, I am not Axis' fiancee! I already told her about that few times but she did not want to believe in me. She really thought I am her son's fiancee.

Argh! I swear, it is so hard to handle this thing!
