Chapter two.

She was too good at gambling.

Avalanche Mark walked out of the Casino with a smirk on her face. It usually rained these days so the weather was kind of cold today.

She had put on a big jacket which hit right below her knee, and some jeans with went down to her foot. Her dirty blonde hair had been scattered around her head, but most of it ran down the front, covering about half of her face.

No one around here knew her as Ava.

They mostly called her lanche. No, she didn't live around this area but she usually came here to gamble, and they all think she's a man.

From the way she speaks, to the way she dresses to the way she walks and even laughs.

Ava has always had a manly deep, yet voice that would make you think of a freshly blossoming flower. She did have swells on her chest, but she could easily cover them up with everything she was putting on.

She had been raised by three teenagers. She had met Chad Brian, Jason James and Andrew Leonard when she was only ten years old, at an abandoned parking lot. She was just standing there when they arrived, three of them jumping around and laughing, and she just stared.

She had been tired, extremely hungry and sick.

And she had fainted while they were there with her. Luckily, they had rushed her to the hospital.

The three boys were also orphans just like her, but Chad being the elder was taking care of them. He had this mind-blowing job, and the money he got from it was enough to take care of all of them.

It seems they had picked up a liking about her, and that was how they took her in..

They've been her family ever since then, and now she's twenty six years old. Twenty six years old...

She's lived long, hasn't she?

She's lived long enough, but she knew she might not make it till her next birthday which was still over six months away. The illness running through her body won't let her get to twenty seven, would it?

Anyways, now she's not going to ponder on that. She's gonna spend all this money that's filled up her jacket by tomorrow. She walked away from the area of the casino, heading back home. It was already very late in the night, and it even looks like a storm is coming with the way the wind was blowing harder now.

There were hardly any cabs around to take her room, but that didn't worry her because she's always loved to walk. With her hands in her pocket, she streked back home.

She came across a playground. It was actually an amusement park for kids, and it was locked but there seems to be a man sitting on a bench in front of the place. From the way he was dressed, he is not a guard.

She didn't bother to take a good look at his features. She shrugged uncaringly and continued her walk...

Then she saw a group of about eight men walking towards her. Immediately, her eyes narrowed at them and her fists tightened around the load of money inside her jacket. Amongst the men she had gambled with today, one of them had been glaring dangerously at her when she kept winning.

And when she was leaving, she had seen him making a call with evil intentions on his face. He had caught her looking at him, and the evil glare had returned back to his face.

She knew he was no good.

Ava went into defensively mode.

He must have sent this men to try and take her money away from her. But why would he send up to eight of them when he doesn't knows her fighting skills? Anyways, the more the merrier... isn't it?

She stopped walking, her eyes zeroing in on each one of them dangerously. She let her hands drop from her jacket pocket, ready for action. Chad had taught her a lot of things she knew today. He taught her how to fight and beat mercilessly, how to snap someone's hands off, how to kick and punch right, parts of the money that would hurt most when jabbed and hit.

Ava turned around to see the man that had been sitting in front of the park. He was still in the same position, and hadn't moved at all.

Returning her attention back to the men who had already started running straight to her , her hands balled into fists and she jumped into action.

They were bigger and stronger than her

But absolutely no match for her.

She beat the living daylights out of them, and none could even land a good punch on her for as long as the fight lasted.

Groaning men lay on the floor, with broken limps everywhere. Some were bleeding from the nose too, and some from the mouths.

While others had red eyes.

" When you feel better and can move. Go and tell your boss who's probably still at the casino that you got your ass beaten up!. " She yelled at all of them, before stepping past to continue her walk back home..

She wondered whether Andrew would be outside the house waiting for her to arrive as usual. He's always warned her never to leave the house without notifying anyone, and returning back whenever she liked.

But she never listens.

She going to get some scowling Tonight, isn't she?

Well, it's not her fault that they raised her they way they liked...to be a boy on the outside and even the inside.

The footsteps behind her were light and fast. She hadn't heard it because of the wind and the thoughts in her head, but now she could hear them very clearly..

Someone was right behind her.

Before she could even turn, A large hand grabbed hers and swiftly turned her around. Defensive mode became active again and she threw her leg up on the air to kick whoever it was.

But it was knocked back down by a palm, and then the person grabbed her roughly by the chin.

" Found you" she heard his voice, but she was too busy knocking his hands away from her face.

Quickly, she moved away from him.

He didn't try to attack her again, and she was able to take a better look at him. She recognized his clothes...

He was the man who had been sitting in front of the park few minutes ago. The one who sat down unmoving like a stature.

The one who has the same face as Green walker.

Green walker...Yeah right.

She blinked several times. This must be a dream.

Hahahaha.

Then, it actually washed all over her.

She's standing in front of Green walker. She's staring at his face again, and he's looking back into hers Deeply.

The man she loathes so much, the man she hasn't ran into again since the last day of highschool was right here in front of her.

And he's...he's...

He's actually seeing her, noticing her for the first time ever!
