CHAPTER 8

"Benedict, here!"

Seeing the female alpha waving her hand to get his attention, a small smile appears on the younger man's face. With steady movements, Benedict walks towards the table near the window at the corner and sits on the vacant seat in front of Lizzy. Benedict smells her scent which makes him feel more comfortable while in public. Without hesitation, Lizzy put her hand on his head and gave him a gentle pat.

"You made it! I thought you will cancel our meeting at the last minute." Lizzy beamed.

"You know that I will never do that to you unless an emergency happens."

"Of course. I am just glad to see you again." Lizzy said while continuously patting Benedict's head.

"Stop it. You are making me look like a kid." Benedict replies with a frown although he makes no effort to remove Lizzy's hand.
