Chapter Seven – The Twins’ Mission

Elena’s POV

I crouched in front of them, brushing Luna’s hair gently behind her ear before straightening Leo’s collar, my fingers lingering for just a second longer than necessary.

“My loves,” I said softly, “today is the fashion show. Don’t worry… I’ll bring you something nice when I come back, alright?”

They nodded at the same time, trying—and failing—to hide the excitement in their eyes.

“Bye, Mum!” they chimed together, their small hands waving as I turned

Chapter 22 — EliEli’s POVThe room was quiet… but not really. There were soft whispers, small laughs, and the kind of secret excitement only children understand.Eli and Ella sat on the floor with their phones in their hands, speaking in low voices so their mother wouldn’t hear them. The curtains were drawn, but soft afternoon light still slipped through, wrapping the room in a warm, almost hidden glow.“If that man… if Mr. Ben really becomes our dad,” Ella said, her eyes shining with excitement, “then we’ll be truly happy. Really happy.”Eli nodded slowly. His expression was serious, but there was a small smile at the corner of his lips.“Yes,” he said. “He’s kind. He protected us. He didn’t judge us. I think… he could be a good father.”Ella smiled at him. “And Mama would be happier too, I think.”Eli picked up his phone, hesitating for only a second before dialing. His heart was beating fast, but his decision was firm.“I’m going to call him,” he said quietly. “I need to thank him

  • Please Don’t Go, My Ex   Elena

Chapter 19Elena’s POVI came home after a long, exhausting day of preparing my designs for the fashion show. My body was tired, my mind even more so, still full of fabric sketches, fittings, and endless decisions. But the moment I stepped inside, I felt it.Something was off.Eli and Ella were waiting for me—but they were not their usual selves. Too quiet. Too excited. Too secretive. The way they looked at each other… it immediately made my mother’s instinct tighten.Something was going on.“Come and eat, children!” I called out, dropping my bags and heading toward the kitchen. But instead of running over like they usually did, they both shook their heads at the same time.My heart sank slightly.“No, Mama…” Ella said softly, her eyes strangely bright.“I don’t want to eat,” she added.Eli looked at me too—serious… almost hopeful.“Why? Why don’t you want to eat?” I asked, my voice tightening with worry. “You’re tired after school…”They moved to the couch, and I followed them slowly

  • Please Don’t Go, My Ex   An Unexpected Encounter

Chapter 18 — An Unexpected EncounterEli and Ella’s POVThe lunch bell rang, and the schoolyard came alive with laughter and shouting children. Eli and Ella walked out of their classroom, their bags hanging loosely on their backs, both relieved that math class was finally over.“I told you,” Eli said with a laugh. “I hate math. It’s the worst thing ever invented.”Ella burst out laughing. “That’s because you never want to learn.”They nudged each other playfully, still laughing, when suddenly someone stepped in front of them.It was Hugo.An older boy—rich, arrogant, and feared by most of the students. Everyone knew him. He liked picking on younger kids and bragging about his father’s power.“Well, if it isn’t the perfect twins,” he said with a mocking smile. “Still acting smart, huh?”Ella frowned. “Leave us alone, Hugo.”But Hugo shoved Eli hard.Eli stumbled back, his bag falling to the ground as his books scattered across the floor. For a moment, everything went quiet.Eli slowly

  • Please Don’t Go, My Ex   The Weight of the Past

Chapter — The Weight of the PastDaniel’s POVI couldn’t sleep. Not after seeing those two children…Not after seeing Elena again.Their faces wouldn’t leave me.The boy—especially him. His eyes. That proud look. That quiet strength. It was like looking at myself years ago.And the girl… Her smile. Her mouth. So much like Elena’s..No.That couldn’t be possible, that would be too cruel… even for fate. I paced the living room, a cigarette burning slowly between my fingers, my mind empty and loud at the same time.Night had fallen hours ago. But inside me, there was no rest.“Sir… you should get some sleep,” my assistant said carefully, his voice tired.“No,” I replied sharply. “Dig deeper. I want everything on Elena since the divorce. Where she went. What she did. Who she was with.”A brief pause.“Yes, sir.”I never thought I would say her name again. For years, I had forced myself to forget her—to bury every memory, to justify my choice, to convince myself I had lost nothing. But now

  • Please Don’t Go, My Ex   The Unexpected Encounter

Chapter 16 : The Unexpected EncounterElena’s POVThe morning was soft… one of those peaceful mornings that made everything feel almost safe.Sunlight slipped gently through the curtains, and the sound of my children’s laughter filled the house.Eli and Ella were already getting ready for school, playfully teasing each other as usual.“Ella, hurry up! We’re going to be late again, and you’ll be the one crying when the bell rings!” Eli said with a grin.“That’s not true!” Ella shot back, sticking her tongue out. “And you’re always the one forgetting your math book!”I stood in the kitchen, watching them with a light heart. These moments… these small arguments, these simple laughs… this was my happiness now. They were safe. They were free. They were mine.A few minutes later, they stepped out of the house with their school bags. Ella ran ahead, her braids bouncing behind her, while Eli followed with a playful smile.I waved at them from the window.“Be careful, okay? And behave!”“Yes,
