LOGINKaelen’s POV
The first thing I see is bare feet. Small. Soft. Human. Trespassing. On my land. I rub a hand over my face, already annoyed. I'm shirtless—because, well, wolves don’t shift with clothes—and the last thing I expect is a human girl stumbling right into the heart of the forest like she owns the place. Who in the moon’s name wanders in here? I step out from behind the trees. “Hey!” my voice snaps through the clearing. “You’re trespassing.” She spins so fast she almost trips over a root. Big eyes. Flushed cheeks. Breathless. Terrified. …Pretty. No. Not pretty. Familiar. My chest tightens. My heart pounds once—hard. My wolf surges so violently that I stagger. Her scent hits me like a punch. Moonlight. Silver. Destiny. My vision flashes gold. No. No. It can’t be— But it is. Mate. My wolf drops to its knees inside me. My legs buckle. My lungs seize. I—Alpha Kaelen Vrynn—almost collapse to the ground. This isn’t supposed to happen. Not here. Not now. Not with a human. But my soul recognizes her. Every piece of me tilts toward her, pulled by something ancient and terrifying. She, however… …stares at me like I’m a serial killer. “D-don’t come closer!” she squeaks. I blink. “I’m literally trying to tell you you’re in danger—” Her gaze drops to my bare chest. Her eyes widen. Then she screams, “KIDNAPPER!” What. Before I can say a word— THWACK. A rock hits my shoulder. She threw a rock at me. An Alpha. Her fated mate. ME. “Did—you—just—throw a rock at me?” I ask, stunned. Her hand is already reaching for another. My wolf is outraged. My pride is wounded. My heart… is hopelessly enchanted. Before she can attack me again, I raise my hands slowly. “I’m not a kidnapper.” “You’re shirtless!” “I’m a werewolf!” She gasps as if I confessed to murder. “I KNEW IT!” I scrub a hand over my face. This is a disaster. A catastrophe. The Moon Goddess is laughing at me. I take a step toward her—carefully. Big mistake. The bond slams into me again. My knees buckle. My breath catches. The urge to kneel—to submit—is almost unbearable. Not because I’m weak. Because she’s mine. “Please don’t faint,” I mutter to myself. “Not in front of the trespassing human.” She backs up, holding the rock like a weapon. “You stay right there!” “Fine,” I say, exasperated. “I’ll stay right here.” Silence. Wind. Trees. A human girl ready to assault me. A powerful Alpha ready to fall at her feet. This is NOT how fated mates are supposed to meet. I try again, gentler this time. “What’s your name?” “None of your business!” “It’s sort of my business if you’re on my land—” She throws the second rock. I dodge this one. Barely. “Stop throwing things at me!” “Then stop being suspicious!” I exhale through my teeth. This is unbelievable. Before I can explain anything— Before I can even breathe properly— The bond surges one more time and the words slip out of me like a prayer, raw and uncontrollable. “Please…” My voice cracks. “…marry me.” The forest holds its breath. She does too. Her jaw hangs open. I internally scream at myself. WHY DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD?! From the trees nearby, two of my warriors—Blaze and Rowan—step into the clearing. They freeze. They see me. They see her. They hear what I just said. Blaze mouths silently, ‘Did our Alpha just propose to a human?’ Rowan whispers: ‘Is he sick? Is he cursed? Should we call the healer?’ I want to disappear. The girl—my mate—stares at me like I’m mentally unstable. Then she says the words that shatter me in the dumbest, funniest way possible: “NO. I don’t marry kidnappers OR shirtless men!” She turns to run. The forest’s barrier flares. Magic crashes. Wind howls. The trees pulse with moonlight. She can’t escape. Her hair lifts from the energy. Her eyes widen. The forest responds to her. It recognizes her. My breath stops. Silver blood. Moonborn. The lost princess. And she doesn’t even know. She turns back to me, eyes terrified. “What—what was that?” “You,” I whisper, stepping toward her slowly, reverently, brokenly, “are not human.” Her lips part in shock. Then— Her knees buckle. She faints straight into my arms. My wolf howls with joy and panic at the same time. Behind me, Blaze mutters. “So… you proposed. She fainted. You caught her. This is the most romantic kidnapping I’ve ever witnessed.” I snap, “I’m not kidnapping her!” Rowan smirks. “Sure, Alpha. Sure.” I glare at them. Then, I look down at her sleeping face. Soft. Frightened. Familiar. My mate. My Moonborn. My lost destiny. I lift her gently into my arms—bridal style—and carry her toward the pack house. Because whether she likes it or not… Everything just changed To be Continued....LUNA’S POVIm here at the party attend the gala night.Too loud.Too perfect.Crystal chandeliers glitter above us, and the air smells like expensive perfume and champagne. Elegant women glide across the marble floor, and men in tailored suits laugh like they have no worries in the world.Meanwhile, I feel like a fraud in a borrowed dress.“Stop fidgeting,” Kaelen murmurs beside me.“I’m not fidgeting,” I whisper back, even though I am absolutely fidgeting.“You’ve adjusted your dress six times in the last minute.”“It’s called anxiety,” I mutter. “You should try it sometime.”He gives me a sideways glance. “I prefer controlled danger.”I roll my eyes. “Of course you do. Mr. Brooding Alpha.”We move deeper into the ballroom. I keep my eyes down, trying not to attract attention. Then—I see him.Across the room, near the long table of drinks.Tall.Lean.Dark hair.Familiar posture. My breath stops.
LUNA’S POV“The Alpha King.”Those three words feel like ice being poured down my spine. My heart hammers wildly against my ribs. My palms turn cold. My knees feel like they might give out at any second. The Alpha King is here. Not his hunters. Not his rogues. Not his soldiers.Him.I swallow hard. “You mean… here, here?”Kaelen’s jaw tightens. “Yes.”A loud crack echoes from outside the cave—like a tree being split in half. The ground trembles again, stronger this time. Dust rains from the ceiling. My survival instincts finally kick in.When danger comes, most people scream, cry, or run.Me?I follow my life routine.Step one: Breathe.I inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.Okay… heart still racing. But at least I’m not fainting.Step two: Check surroundings.Exit: one.Enemies: probably many.Chance of survival: questionable.Step three: Secure essentials.I rush to the small pile of things
LUNA’S POVThe ground beneath my feet suddenly trembles. At first, I think it’s just my imagination—fear playing tricks on me again. But then the tremor comes back, stronger this time. Dust falls from the cave ceiling, and small pebbles roll across the stone floor. My heart starts pounding.“What was that?” I whisper.Kaelen’s head snaps toward the cave entrance. His golden eyes narrow, glowing faintly in the darkness.“They’re close,” he mutters. My chest tightens. “Who?”But deep down, I already know the answer. The Alpha King’s hunters.A cold sweat breaks across my skin. My hands begin to shake. I thought the cave was safe. I thought the barrier would hide us at least for the night.Another tremor hits—this one stronger. A deep, guttural howl echoes through the forest outside. Not one wolf.Many.“They found us…” I breathe.Kaelen turns to me, his expression suddenly serious—deadly calm. “Listen carefully, Luna. If
LUNA’S POVThe figure steps from the shadows, and the air thickens—like the forest itself is holding its breath. My silver eyes flare instinctively, reflecting light off the cavern crystals. He’s taller than any human—or wolf—I’ve ever seen. Cloaked in black, mask glinting faintly under the moonlight. The chill radiating from him isn’t natural. My skin prickles. Every instinct screams: this is the end.Kaelen steps in front of me, stance wide, claws glinting. His golden eyes lock on the intruder. “Luna… stay behind me.”I don’t move. My hands twitch. My wolf surges inside me. I’ve come this far. I’m not hiding anymore. The masked King tilts his head. His voice is calm, deliberate, and the sound makes my blood freeze. “So… the little Silver-Blooded girl finally awakens.”My heart stops. The title. The prophecy. The weight of all I’ve learned tonight crashes down on me. “What do you want from me?” I demand, voice trembling but sharp. He steps closer. T
LUNA’S POVThe shadow lunges again, faster than my mind can process. Its black mist lashes toward me, curling around the shards of crystal and frozen water. My silver eyes flare without warning, and my wolf inside me roars, answering the challenge.I raise my hands—and instinctively, the water rises. Not gently. Not slowly. It twists and spirals, forming jagged spears of ice and silver light. The shadow screams as it crashes into the barrier, recoiling, mist spraying like smoke from burning steel.I gasp for air. My chest aches. My heartbeat is a drum in my ears. My wolf—my power—is awake. And it is hungry.“Luna! Focus!” Kaelen’s voice slices through my panic. He’s on his feet, claws flashing, blocking the shadow’s retreat. His golden eyes burn with fire. “Your blood can control the Veil! You can trap it!”“Trap it?!” I yell. “I barely know how to walk without dying!”“Then stop thinking! Feel it!” His hands hover near mine, guiding without touching. Hi
LUNA’S POVThe Blood Guard’s armor gleams even in the silver light, sharp edges reflecting my own terrified expression.I stumble back, heart hammering. “Wait—king?” I choke. “I’m not ready to meet a king, let alone one who wants to… kill me!”Kaelen spins, putting himself in front of me. His chest rises and falls rapidly, eyes blazing gold. “Stay behind me. Do not move. Do not breathe. Do not think of running.”The Blood Guard tilts his head. Heavy boots scrape against the cavern floor. “She has awakened. The seal is broken. You cannot hide her any longer, Alpha Kaelen.”I swallow hard. The words scrape my throat. “Wait—she? You mean… me?”Kaelen glares at me, jaw tight. “Yes. You. Your blood will either save the werewolves… or destroy everything. That is why they are here.”I glance at the glowing crystals. They shimmer, almost pulsing with my heartbeat. Silver veins ripple across the cavern walls, reaching toward me like they know I’m in danger.
