Deciding it was better to get it over with, I called up my parents and asked if I could bring my boyfriend over for dinner. Of course, they didn’t mind and so, here we are… outside my parent's house… and I just couldn’t build up the courage to go inside.

‘Everything is going to be ok’. Luke tried to reassure me. I just smiled sadly. He had no idea how wrong he was. ‘We don’t have to do this tonight if you’re not ready. We can just go in there and have dinner, let them get to know me first… and then tell them’.
