After we finished eating dinner, we hung around for a little while and joined in the conversation, but Mike kept his hand on my knee, squeezing it every now and then. I knew he was getting impatient, but I enjoyed that, teasing him without even doing anything.

We got onto the conversation of house rules. Peyton and I were told to stay out of certain rooms or away from certain areas of the house, I didn’t want to know why, so didn’t ask. We agreed to that, and Joey… and more importantly Damon agreed to keep their distance from me and Pey, it seemed like a win-win.

Luke rounded up all the plates before taking them away, Peyton went with him and Mike laughed, announcing that it was Luke’s turn to wash the dishes tonight. I couldn’t help but smile, again thinking how normal everything seemed.
